Gisele Bündchen on modeling, divorce, and her true self

Gisele Bündchen, who has modeled since her teens, has been one of the highest-paid supermodels for more than twenty years. But she says she experienced extreme anxiety because of her lifestyle. The 43-year-old divorced mother of two children from her marriage to NFL superstar Tom Brady has since found peace in making a part-time home in Costa Rica. The self-described introvert talks with correspondent Lee Cowan about healthy living, her new role with Gaia Herbs, and what she most cherishes.

The impact her grandmother had on her is such a huge part of who she is. Regardless of the time that goes by after a loved one passes, the love will never go away. Our memories of them get tucked away in the recesses of our brains, that when we speak of them it brings all that love we have for them rushing back. Giselle called herself a silent model. She said she didn’t enjoy the spotlight and was an introvert, but pushed herself and became wildly successful despite how hard it was as an introvert. Once she left and was able to be home as a mom is where she found her true happiness raising her kids, being in nature, meditation and being present in her life. Love how when she talked about her grandmother and how she could fix anything from herbal remedies etc was so special and she got emotional. I feel like I can relate to her. Respecting elders and after living life both humbly out of the spotlight and in the spotlight she finally feels in her element. I look up to her she seems to have lived the life many women dream of being a VS super model and marrying Tom Brady the most humble and talented football player in history. He survived a lot of heat in his career and I’m glad he had Giselle by his side during that hard time. It’s fascinating to see the tremendous positive support from the women in these comments. If you go look at the interviews of Tom after the divorce there’s tons of negative comments about her. While she may be a genuinely good person she strikes me as being a little nuts. You can tell from this interview that she definitely has a crazy side and can be very difficult at times. She is also involved with several Brazilian brands like Vivo, Brazil’s leading mobile company, Multiplan, Colcci and Credicard. Her television commercials for clothier C&A Brazil helped their sales increase by 30 percent. In May 2006, Bündchen signed a multi-million dollar deal with Apple Computer to join their “Get a Mac” advertising campaign to promote Macintosh computers. Another important client had been Victoria’s Secret, where she had modeled for seven years.

Its the life you chose Gisele~ at any point in the 20+ years of modeling/ lime light/ glitz & glamour/ millions of dollars, you could have walked away from all of that and worked a 9-5 office job.
