A completely new person. That's why this songs called "wheeping" Interesting thing.. Her name is pronounced: Dee *ah* nah Ahnk oo *din* ohvah The story of 'Rechenka' ... it's from an old traditional folk tale about an orphaned girl who is supposed to marry someone she doesn't love, so she goes down to the river (the border between the living and the dead) to talk to her mother and ask for her advice. That strange rough whispery voice is her mother asking why she's not happy; the rest is her describing her sad situation. Yes, an *amazing* and *powerful* performance! And to think that she was *only 14 years old* when she made this! Another amazing performance of hers is 'Human'; check it out! Another one to catch is one that's not from the TV show, it's 'Putting On The Ritz'. It's *so* cool to watch her perform this American Classic (it's 80-90 years old!), almost turning it into a song from today ( *and* you get to watch her tap-dance!). *Enjoy!* P.S.- I've been captivated by her since I first heard her! Diana is a one of a kind. Truly, and this song is much more than a song as Diana performs it. She is like an ancient Shaman commanding the river's flowing spirit. One of her best for sure. But this turned out to be a BLATANT LIE and one of the worse scandals in Russian talent contest history. Because the following day it was revealed that the contest was “ fixed” the winner was “bought” before the show started. A total travesty of justice and revealing how corrupt this Russian kids show was at the time. And the following days over 80 million who watched the contest when posted on KZbin spit on the judges. But she got her revenge the following year and year thereafter by winning not only the Russian contests in two consecutive years but 60 more awards and contests. Please ( when you get the chance) I BEG of you to at least privately react by YouTubing “ Diana Ankudinova yodeling”. And you’ll witness a yodeling masterpiece and if you stay to near the end of the judges commentary ( making excuses and lying) you will hear a brief portion of the French song the judges asked her to sing that she NAILED! And there is a video of her outside a mall at age 11 singing this same French song but the complete version and she KILLED IT!!!! And when you’re convinced that she’s one of the best female vocalist in the world ( like millions of others including myself) you may want to react to a couple of her newer songs: ( she just turned 17 the other day) like “by your voice”. I promise you if you continue to publicly react to Diana ( “Rechenka,” “Human” , “Wicked Game”, “Yodeling”...your subscriber base will go through the roof!!!! She’s now almost as popular as the great male pop-op vocalist Dimash. And has her own Facebook fan club. And rumor has Diana and Dimash will perform together one day in the not-to-distant future and when it happens I can assure you when the upcoming concert is announced, it will be SOLD OUT in less than 20 minutes. Dear Gitana, as you may remember, I recommended you this video along with a link and a detailed description. And I knew in advance what your reaction would be knowing your sensitivity and patience. Diana also needed a lot of patience and assertiveness after her personal tragedy at 3 years old. Actually, patience is one of the main values of my nation. God is merciful, her new mother was incredible (she still is) and this song of the orphan reflects her personal story, too. Diana said recently in one of her videos that she usually never performs this song during concerts, as it takes up a lot of sensual energy. No, my dear, no need to apologize for being speechless. When a performance is at such a level that it pulls you into it, you're not just listening to a song. You're hearing the song, but also seeing the performer and the stage production. It stirs your heart and you feel the emotions of the song. Your brain is trying to process all of this information at one time. The angelic sounds you are hearing, the stunning visuals you are seeing, the emotions being invoked by the experience, Next thing you know is that it seems you've been transported to an ethereal place and everything except that performance fades away. You are transfixed by it. Then, all of a sudden, it stops! Your mesmerizing experience is not there and your brain is left going....Wait.....What?.....Who?....How did she?.....OMG! LOL. Being speechless is the best reaction you could ever give! For an artist, leaving your audience speechless should be the most gratifying experience for them. You being speechless is pure and honest. Plus, it is a true testament to Diana's talent that she affected you that way. IMO, well done my dear! Hope your hand/wrist gets better soon!

When I first heard her sing, I listened to this song 6 or 7 months ago, on a reaction video! I got really emotional and amazed! she was only 14 when she performed this song! she also has had a hard and abusive childhood, until she got adopted. There is a story on it if you Google it.
