These great American Songbook Standards from the Late 1920s to roughly the mid-'60s was such a Rembrandt era for American popular music as Martin Taylor & Tommy Emmanuel embrace beautifully here......
@YOUYOU4711011 жыл бұрын
Tommy found in Martin Taylor someone as talented and skilled as he is, and in stead of playing a lot of notes the fastest possible, together they're making music just for the love of music. This is just beautiful! They just sound great together, style and tone.

These two playing together is one serious eargasm! In the world of jazz guitar it doesn’t get much better, and Tommy is such a happy player. They get 11 out of 10 from me, superb! ☀️

We are all so blessed to witness the extraordinary talent from both Martin and Tommy. Theses guys are not only masters at what they do, but they posses the heart and soul to evoke such great emotion... that moves people with their music. They are touring together in UK in 2013, and wish they would come to USA. Two of my vey , very favorite guitar players.

I remember getting home late from a gig late one night 'back in the day' and Martin Taylor messaged me on MySpace asking me how I was going. Needless to say, I was gobsmacked and had to ask if it was one of my mates 'taking the piss', but it wasn't and we had a great chat about life, music, the universe and everything. I still find that interaction hard to believe.

Anybody wanting to take something from this as a musician might want to consider how well Tommy phrases the melody, and doesn't get carried away with too many notes. Those saying 'Martin has him' are terribly missing the whole point of beautiful restraint.

OR enjoy whatever you enjoy and let people enjoy whatever they enjoy. That works wonders. Some people enjoy Martin more, some others enjoy Tommy more. I don't like mayo on my sandwiches but It's fine if you do. Neither of us is missing the point of anything.
