True. It’s not about the language used on the tool, it’s about the language used to explain. The concepts can still be explained in a different language. Otherwise, all tech/programming channels would be in English. 😉 And I never use Sinhala terms for technical terms because it’s stupid. However, I believe the language used to explain the topic can makes it easier to understand the content itself. I already had a tech channel in English and the Sri Lankan audience didn’t really pay a lot of attention to that. I’m not sure if it’s the content or the language. Since this channel is growing faster, I think it’s because of the language. And, my focus is only Sri Lankans for this channel. Since I’m not proficient in Tamil, I’m doing it in Sinhala (while still retaining English tech terms). The goal is to bring my experience to Sri Lankan tech community. And I know people tend to care more when they hear it from a familiar person. 😇
