Outstanding insight into creating the loose, vibrant lines at the outside edges of the image. It gives your drawing a wonderful immediacy, as if the artist was caught in the midst of sketching. Really amazing. Fantastic strokes. . finally i got your channel today. I am krishna from india. But currently working in kuwait. I am a self taught artist. Although i want to become a portrait artist. Your channel will boost for me. But i don't know why did not you get more subscriber. Food reviewers. Cooking channels. Travalers easily get more subscribers. But creative people could not get subscribers. The world going to back dramatic people. And fake people. They did not work. Creative and hard working. Use paper that's recommended for charcoals or soft pastels.. apart from that, the basic outlines and rough sketch can be done using compressed charcoal.. For detailing use charcoal pencils , kneaded eraser and blending stumps. Blending stumps and kneaded erasers can be used to lift charcoal as it is done here to create highlights

@@nomadsoul466 Anyway, i try to use kneaded eraser to make some highlight, but ... it feels like ... the charcoals already stick to the paper hardly (oh i use charcoals pencils btw. i dont have any compressed charcoal). The charcoals barely lifted. Seems like far from what Kisso Chai has done in this video. Do you know what is the key point to resolve this problem? Is it the matter of paper type? the compressed charcoal? or the kneadable eraser? Or, even willow charcoal?

I may be able to explain it in writing, but I will talk to you in my experience. First, you should like to drawt and enjoy it. If I ask people to draw the same apple ten times, some people will think it's boring. But in my case, I'd think, How good can I draw this apple ten times? "Enjoying and having fun with drawing." I think this is a gift(talent). Second, I've been practicing drawing every day since high school, and it was a warming up, a ceremony, before I drew. My painting teacher told me this a long time ago. "It's not "doing the basics well because it's a master," but "I don't neglect the basics because it's a master." Maybe it means the importance of practice. So I want to say that "You can enjoy it, and if you continue to practice, you can do it." 🤗
