Concerning the Hindu guy @14:31, the "four Vedas" doesn't even have a founder to even take them in consideration. Knowledge on the founders are important, that's how we know Scientology is fake because of the person & his continuing lifestyle indicates a higher probability of uncertainty (by their fruits we know them). Also Karma is inconsistent with reality, because in a bank they tell you what you own, how much you own & how much you have left to pay, in Karma you know nothing on those matters

Like I said before, I haven't found any inconsistencies. If it says jesus taught for 3 years, and another gospel says he taught for a year, that's not a contradiction. If it says he only taught for one year, and another said, he only talked for 3 years, then we got a problem. So going back to the same thing... I take the gospels as being accurate and I believe Jesus is much more reliable to put my faith in than anything else

The Babylonians were indeed conquered, so it actually did happen. This verse isn't calling people to dash babies against rocks but it is a sentiment being expressed in the call for divine justice. It is not an atrocity in any sense for God to punish the wicked, so to call for divine justice is not immoral. There is no Biblical slavery, genocide or mandates to torture. Slavery existed before any mandates surrounding it were formed, for example.

This was the war mandate for that specific war. Even if it was just a strategic command it would not be an atrocity since the Hebrew society that was working to preserve itself would have to favor it's own interests. They would be dying, not for individual merit but a judgement on a society. [[The "good book" indeed]] You are referring to a historical record given in the Bible. I never said that miracles were impossible, what I was trying to say was that it is an extraordinary claim that a person performed an action that seems impossible, so it would require extraordinary evidence for me to believe it. Just like with Chris angel, if he was walking on the sidewalk, nobody would have such a hard time believing that he was performing this action, compared to when he walked on water.

Looking deeper into the New Testament, we see that Christ appeared to over 500 people over a period of 40 days in different places and different times, also that one of the apostles, James in Acts 12:2 was killed. The other apostles we're killed, looking at just history. If you look at the New Testament, you'll find it it is historically accurate. Same with the Qu'ran, Buddah's etc.. So read them as history, and see where the evidence points you to. For me, it's Christ.
@cherubimfilms11 жыл бұрын
The Gospels, I think, are very honest when it comes to the disciples xD they aren't loyal at all. One of them betrayed Jesus while the rest ran away when he died. That's only, however, if you think the gospels are telling the truth ;) From what I've seen from phycology, people don't die to cover up lies... So from what Cliffe says, the guys who claimed to have seen Christ risen, and died for what they had saw, brings more credibility

Numbers 31 did not call for genocide but actually brought many into their fold. 1 Samuel did not call for genocide since the charge against the Amelikites was a 400 year old and called for retributory justice for the atrocity the Amelikites committed. Likely you are referring to Deuteronomy mandates to "drive the inhabitants away" which is not a call for genocide. Addressing each point is not dodging the issue, LOL.

Yeah ok I can agree on that. If the gap is close, doesn't make it true. But if there is a claim thats 2000 years apart in when it happened, and the first documentation of it... With the situation being about a person or people.. I find that harder to believe that the document is accurate. So with the Gospels.. I think we have what the original people wrote. Doesn't mean their claims are true, but what they wrote hasnt been corrupted or changed

Karmic reincarnation is ridiculous. The easiest way to expose it is to ask the Hindu if he knows anyone who is perfectly good, thus escaping Karma. The answer is always "no, I don't know anyone perfect." Jesus came to "set the captives free" from the bondage self oriented pursuits of religiousity.

That's fine. I just think its clear Jesus existed, and that we have an accurate account of who he was and his teachings. For me, since he died and rose from the dead, that shows me he has God like powers or is God. His life of amazing ethical teachings is just a bonus. It's hard to believe someone rose from the dead, but since people were willing to die, claiming to have seen Christ risen from the dead, it gives it a lot of credibility. They didn't die for a brief but for they claimed to see

The very description of "virgins" entails their innocence. Young males were less likely to become loyal to the Hebrews within their society than innocent young maidens who would marry into the society. The non-virgin Midianites were the guilty party for the mandated justice to begin with.

I dont understand... History based on eyewitness accounts... right? So we have Mark writing in the Gospel, that he saw this Jesus walked on water.. turned water into wine.. hung out with whacky people.. got crucified and then he saw him risen from the dead. Same situation with the other gospels, except Luke, where luke interviewed many eye witnesses and got wrote the gospel based on that. 4 different accounts, all agreeing with one another. The evidence is, that it happened...

Jesus came to Save us, to pull us out from our inherited sin that also nailed Him on the Cross, and we all are born in that inherited state that separate us from God! We are all equally sick and guilty in that regard from birth as if we were one person in Gods eyes! When we get Baptized with God's Holy Fire we become His people, that is His Miracle in us, with that comes the gift of Faith in the process given to us by Him! So when we become his people we are new creation wich are redeemed by Jesus, we have undeservedly received the Righteousness of Jesus, therefore our murder of him will not be imputed to us, we are forgiven by His Grace! ✝ But if we choose our turning away from Him, and remain turned away, then the murder of Him will be imputed to us + all our personal sins that we have committed on the Day of Judgment!

I don't mean to make 'exceptions'... I'm trying to find truth and go where the evidence points me. With the point you're making there, im not saying since the texts are close together, than its true... I'm saying if the gap is close, it's very likely we have the actual documents of what they original people, whoever they are, wrote - that it hasnt been corrupted. Simple logic, if something has 1000 year gap vs 60... More likely the 60 year gap will be less corrupt.

I am a Hindu and I am a follower of Christ. There is no reason not to follow Christ after a Hindu knows him. Only a proud and superficial Hindu will bring Nirvana (Nirvana is actually in Buddhism, Muksha is Hinduism), Reincarnation, Karma etc. to debate against Christ. Jesus Christ is the God of every Hindu, Muslims, Atheists and everyone.
@Woreyel11 жыл бұрын
But it isn't. Gods nature is necessary, unchanging and eternal. It isn't immoral to "kill" but it is by definition, to murder. Also, Gods moral character must be logically consistent. For instance, it can't be moral for God to allow rape, because rape, by definition is immoral. If you think Jesus miracles were merely illusions, could you then make a sound argument that life is an illusion? You need to read the gospels in context, instead of taking parts out and reading them by their own.
@oceanceaser4411 жыл бұрын
You compared Jesus to Aristotle and others. Here is the difference: Jesus says you are required to believe in him to go to heaven, and also claims to be have supernatural powers and other such extraordinary claims. Aristotle makes no such claims, and does not require belief in him to use his lessons and ideas. It does not matter if Aristotle existed or was just a story made up by people, because his teachings stand independent of him. I do believe Jesus existed, I don't believe he is God.
