It is interesting how those students are going to the extreme orderto disprove the obvious as opposed to just humble themselves and accept the truth. In many cases, it is obvious that they clearly understood what Cliff said but they are not willing to admit that it is true because of their pride. They are not seeking for the truth instead they are committed to disprove Cliff.

The young man is questioning why there are differences between the four Gospels. Why would there be a need for four separate versions if they're all going to read the same? It reminds me of when I was in grade school and we had to write a book report. Do you think every kids report is going to be exactly the same? Of course not! So the Bible is just giving you four separate accounts by four different people.

Yeah, the differences can be explained by things like perspective

Hey, Nice work Cliff. talking about contradiction claims against the gospels, look out for these ones. 1) The gospels are fake because they have contradictions! 2)The gospels are fake because they copy each other! I've had conversations ( one quite recently) with smart people who try to argue both. The two arguments can't both be true
@1godonlyone11910 жыл бұрын
You're right -- 1 and 2 can't both be true, but they can both be false: In fact, the Gospels neither copy each other nor have any contradictions. =)

That is true. However, some people are "on the fence," and just need some more information to come off the fence into the correct worldview. That's why preaching God's glories is so important.

***** first thank you for replying my comments and being nice about. Most people are nasty when they talk to me and u are being polite which I appreciate a lot. Now. it Amazing me how people will say.. there is not evidence for God. I say there is a lot of evidence for the assistance of God. The sky the trees the ocean the animals and you and me. Rules ? morals ? they are written in our heart, write and wrong ? we know that cause God wrote the rules in our heart actually it called God's law. I have faith in God and I see the evidence of it. You have faith in ? big bang? ( now I dont know I am assuming) what is the evidence of it ? Did you know that when people believed the earth was flat the bible will tell you it was round ? this is one just one example of the things in the bible if u read it u will find. The bible ( the word of God) it also a historical book It full of history past history beautiful events that one u put them together is beautiful to read. God would not suddenly show up in your life. He already reveled himself. how ? The bible is a record of what he did ( creation ) what he will do ( future and death) and most of all...He tell you I came to die on the cross for you, cause you ( we ) do not obey God's law and we sin against him. The question is not Does God knows you ? cause he does the question is.. do you want to know him ?

Even IF certain events were mentioned in some but not ALL of the Gospels, it doesnt mean the Gospels were either inaccurate, incomplete, or contradicting each other. Had the Disciples spoken to each other about their respective accounts when writing them, wouldnt the Disciples want to mention some different events in each accounting so more of Jesus's life was told? I think it makes total sense that they may have- they all joined Jesus at different times and saw different things depending on when they were traveling with Jesus. Then, we have the obvious differing perspectives of individuals-what one person might find particularly important (although ALL of Jesus's words and what he did were of the utmost importance) another person might have found particularly spoke to them on a fundamental level, and therefore should be mentioned in their own writings. Everyone also needs to remember that the Disciples believed Jesus would return again ( in the Second Coming ) during their lifetimes, so as they aged they would have realized there needed to be firsthand written accounts of Jesus's life and words, as opposed to only spreading the Gospel firsthand by word of mouth, and they each wrote His story in an individual way, because each book was a personal accounting of that Disciple's relationship to Jesus and their perspective of Him and the others in their midst.

There is evidence of Herod's atrocities. It was known that Herod committed many atrocities and his wickedness was a major distinguisher of him. All of his atrocities were not recorded so absence of evidence is not evidence of absence comes into play since it was in his character to do so. Because of this the testimony stands.
@MayonR11 жыл бұрын
Your reasoning, as you posted depends on begging the question fallacies where my posit simply is stating that an absence of evidence doesn't disavow a claim. The last part of your post is just an appeal to mockery fallacy.

I don't know if you are aware but Martin Luther king was not a Christian. He did not believe that Jesus Christ is God in Flesh... Not to mention he was a playboy cheating on his wife. Not a Christian! Why? You will know them by their fruit. Matthew 7:15‐20. Keep up the great Ministry..... I love how you articulate 👍🙏. God-bless you..🙌🙌🙌

He would only not be a Christian if he rationalized his sin and didn’t acknowledge he had to repent of it. If he was able to repent, forsake, and change I would still consider him a Christian. Are you morally perfect?
@tjhoss67293 жыл бұрын
@@boltrooktwo Thank you for your response it's an honour and a blessing to be able to respond back..... No... I'm not morally perfect and probably one of the worst. My trust is not in me my trust is in Jesus Christ HIS perfect life HIS perfect death HIS perfect resurrection. Nevertheless that's the point! it's not about me or Martin Luther King, Jr. It's All about Jesus Christ God in flesh John 1:1-14, Philippians 2:6, Micha 5:2, Isaiah 43:11-12, Hebrews 1:8, Psalm 45:6, Isaiah 40:3. Jesus Has made it crystal clear there's a narrow road And that HE is that road, HE is the way the truth and the life. Also HE who has the SON has life, he who does not have the SON have not life. 1st John 5:12. Jesus said To the pharisees in John 8:58 Before Abraham was born I AM"!!!!! They did not use The word. ‐ G. O. D.‐ back then! The used YAVA or YAWAHA Which means... For example: There is NO other person you can compare ME , NO NOT ANYONE ON THE ENTIRE THE PLANET!!!!! I AM" COMPLETELY SEPARATE!!!!! I AM" WHO I AM"!!! And what was their response??? they picked up stones to kill HIM. Why??? Now fast forward to John 10: 30‐33. Jesus says I and the FATHER are ONE! the Jews pick up stones again to stone HIM. Why would they do that? Because The Jews knew exactly what Jesus was claiming!!!!! Jesus was claiming to be God! exactly what Martin Luther king rejected!!! Unless...... let me repeat this "unless" on his deathbed He repented Which I hope he did. Remember God's word is the same yesterday today and forever. And no one thwarts HIS hand. So to sum it up its not about my feelings or your feelings it's not about my thoughts or your thoughts and it's not about my desire or your desire it's about what God says and obeying it. Martin Luther King, Jr. Rejected Jesus as God Therefore Jesus SAID UNLESS YOU BELIEVE THAT I AM" WHO I AM YOU WILL DIE IN YOUR SINS John 8:24. I pray this Helps you in your studies. Feel free to respond back .❤

@@tjhoss6729 I have heard and corroborated the story of Martin Luther King’s sexual affair but I haven’t seen evidence that he denied Jesus was God. If that is what we are discussing than yes, denying Jesus is God would mean you aren’t following the true Christ. Jesus, God the Son, and God the Father are separate beings but both are God. Hebrews 1: “2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” I don’t know how much more strongly your want it put than “the express image of his person.” If you have access to it what evidence or quote do you use to say Martin Luther King Jr. denied Jesus was God?

@@boltrooktwo Hello again nice talking to you. I don't know what you meant by what you sent me. In other words what you were trying to get at? 🤔..... As for Martin Luther king please Google:(9 things you should know about Martin Luther King Jr, The gospel coalition) Pay attention to number 3. and number 6. O" and by the way I believe you mentioned that God and Jesus were 2 separate beings that is incorrect. I don't know if you meant to say it that way. If you had 2 separate beings you would have to separate gods that is absolutely Positively a heresy. Every Jewish person of that time including Jesus prayed the Shama Every morning and every evening....Hear O" Israel: The Lord Our God the Lord is ONE! Deuteronomy 6:4. The proper way for you to have said that would have been... Within the ONE BEING That which is GOD exists 3 CO equal CO eternal persons. ONE in being=GOD 3 in person = 1.FATHER, 2.SON 3.HOLY SPIRIT. Hope this helps You in your Studies.😊❤

@@tjhoss6729 That was interesting to read but hardly definitive on Martin Luther King Jr.’s entire beliefs. In his letter from a Birmingham Jail he appealed to the higher law of God to insist racism was wrong and that was admirable. What church or tradition do you belong to? Matthew was also a Jew, so it would make sense for the event of Herod slaughtering jewish babies to be in Matthew. Mark, however, was a Roman, so it wouldn't make sense for that event to be in there. The main audience for Matthew are the Jews. The main audience for Mark are the Romans. Context is very important.

You didn’t tell the whole truth on Josephus all Josephus said was, “it was being taught that Jesus rose from the dead.” He himself did not believe it to be true his writings are not a testimony to Jesus, but a testimony of what others around that area was saying about Jesus. The biggest thing to look at was the point Josephus stayed Jewish, there’s another writing that claims to be from Josephus but it is seen as a forgery just as 2 Peter. All the sayings of Josephus that are known to be his have nothing crazy about Jesus, just that their was people teaching somethings about Jesus.

Cliffe accepting the gospels, and the Lord Jesus Christ referring to the scripture as the Word of God, but then denies the entire old testament as mythology. Heretical, heresy. Absolutely embarrassing. He may be wonderful at convincing people of the philosophical and historical evidence of the Lord Jesus Christ, but then to deny the scripture as the infallible, inspired Word of God is disgusting
