@lightworker45122 жыл бұрын
@Our Savior theology scholars understand that the Hebrew Bible was written over a long period of time and by many different authors. The authors also took parts of creation stories from other religions. There are many flood stories in ancient times, the world was never flooded. Abraham to Moses never existed. The Exodus never happened. These are stories of myth to teach deeper truths. It is disappointing that the authors put in 613 commandments but not one commanding parents to honor and respect their children. The Torah was written as the Hebrews were always pushed around and made up a God that chose them to be the nation that gives light to the world. Do you really think God has favorites? The agenda was that God was on the side of the Jews and to not mess with them anymore. Christianity came and the gentiles loved it as now they were favored by Jesus and had a free ticket to Heaven The Muslims wanted their own religion and they got it, theirs is the only truth.

Those of us who are believers should be wise enough to always remember how dramatic it was to turn to Christ. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make. But by not forgetting where we have come from, we will be more understanding of those who are where we used to be, but yet to get to, where we are at. And though it was tough turning away from non believers by taking a stand which they wouldn’t take, we by the grace of God did it. We repented. And as hard as it was to become a follower of Jesus Christ, I wonder if it’s actually harder for a Jew to become a believer. Because that which was stopping us, from signing up for Jesus Christ, is nothing compared to those obstacles facing the Jews. In the Talmud Jesus really gets rubbished, Saying dreadful things like having sex with his donkey. What I am saying is that to sign up for Jesus Christ when you know your peer group is going to see you in such a light, is no easy feat. Therefore if we never cease to remember where we have come from, we’ll be more tolerant of those who are yet to get there.

While paralleling the scripture, how about noting the purpose for separating the light from the darkness was to be clear not to confuse it with the sun and the moon. Notice also that the sun and moon were set to rule the Day and the night. Which were the names given to darkness and light, representative of the same throughout scripture. What precedes all of that is the spirit of light and darkness.... Why!? Because darkness was. Darkness was. Darkness was. Darkness and light, good and evil are the only parellism in scripture. The light was created and removed from the darkness after God's spirit moved upon the the face of the water because darkness was upon the face of the deep. The light is the light of the world who's name was Jesus. [Genesis 1:3-4 KJV] {3} And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. {4} And God saw the light, that [it was] good: and God divided the light from the darkness. [John 8:12 KJV] {12} Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. Darkness and light are throughout scripture. Because we walk in light or we walk in darkness. It literally is black and white.

I think you’re leaving yourself an escape hatch by saying it’s poetry to avoid the arguments of evolution when you don’t need an escape hatch. Because they really have no argument. If you study the “evidence” they use to justify their position you’ll realize that it doesn’t hold up under scrutiny. 99% just accept what they are told and don’t actually find the evidence for themselves. It’s quite obvious they have an agenda and that’s to push God out of the equation when it’s clear God IS the equation.

Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

That does not however mean just because people disagree that solidified points the Bible makes ever change. There are some stuff that are universally understood biblically such as Jesus being the son of God, that murder is wrong, God created the world. These are a few examples of things that do not change based on ones "perspective" because the Bible is straightforward of these things.

I been watching alot of Cliff's videos and enjoy them alot as he speaks the Truth and spreads the message of Jesus Christ. But i really wish he would of not walked around the question the girl was asking about "love is love" because you must speak the truth always, even if it offends. The truth is in the beginning God made them male and female as the scriptures state. God created the female for the male as the scriptures state. The scriptures make it very clear in the Old Testament, and New Testament that all homosexuality is sin, and all such will not inherit The Kingdom of God. So we see societies definition of love is extremely perverted and distorted to fit the desires of any individual. This is not the same as what God declares love to be. I understand it is a touchy subject to get into, but it must be addressed in accordance to the scriptures. The intention is not to offend, but absolutely not to please men,- but to please God! The Word of God is sharper than any double edged sword cutting even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and is able to bring any sinner to repentance if they believe!

You know part of Bible is interesting. God a command of his is should a man take another wife and he only references it as 2. That she is to be given and loved equally as the first wife. But then I’m another passage when it comes to priest or someone of that area they are required to have only 1 wife. There are times Bible says polygamy is allowed but under conditions in treatment. Some how and why it is allowed. Then whom is to have only 1 wife regardless of situation. So it’s interesting polygamy is backed by god but under conditions and strict requirements. Only if he allows it I’m studying this bit. So that I can answer accordingly. I do know should someone come to god and they already have more then one wife they are to still take care of all of them and not disown any of them. King David was a example of that. Though I’m Bible it never says it is allowed for a woman to have more then one husband. As only time polygamy in studying so Far is if a women has more then one husband like the women by the well. If any reading this has scripture name book,chapter and verses I’ll happily take them. To add into study on this bit
@tristanjones85754 ай бұрын
I don’t think this is under any requirements to be more than 1. Culturally they adopted other cultures by marrying more than one person. God is highly against it but God also knows that since those people are married to more than one women they are obligated to take care of them, because a woman on her own cannot survive. So God provide a way for those marriages to be working not because he’s not against it but because the men are obligated to take care of his wives and it’s better to do that than to leave them for dead.
