Good evening, Mr. Cliffe, I wanted to say that I found one of your videos online just tonight. I’m 36, a father of three, and a son of a father who chose selfishness and to be completely absent while being present. I was recently disowned by my parents for lovingly bringing their departure from Christ to light. Seeing your videos encourages me greatly. I am so grateful that you are a kind, logical human being that can have open, honest, intellectual dialogue with fellow human beings in a respectful manner. It blows my mind that this is not the norm. Seeing you, I see an example of what I wish I could be, the goodness that I desire to teach my own children - a model of fatherhood that I want to share with them: a simple man, loving God, loving others, engaging with others in respectful, kind, courteous dialog and sharing the message of Christ. Thank you so much for doing this. I’d love to drive up from Florida for a coffee one day.

Sadly, this won't be enough. Muslims says the Bible has been corrupted over the centuries, and therefore they can reject this passage along with anything else that they find problematic. They will say later Christians added it in. . Truly, the best thing to do is ask them to take a course of Biblical historicity. We have manuscripts, some of which date back to the 1st Century, that show what the original books used to make up the Bible said, and over 5,100 manuscripts that can be used today to recreate the entire Bible from scratch to within an infinitesimal degree of variation against most of the translations we have today. Thus, the reliability of the original books of the Bible as they were written is undoubted even among atheist scholars who don't believe what it says. This soundly rejects that argument from Muslims that the Bible is corrupt.

In Islam, God is God alone. So for them the idea of the Trinity or a human being God is counter or undermines the whole foundation of Islam. Ultimately, if you affirm Jesus is God, you can no longer be a Muslim. They understand the ramifications of that.
@sidwhiting665 Жыл бұрын
@@jasonnoble7302 find me a "black belt" Muslim and let's talk. . Cliff's question is still valid regardless: Muslims cannot both respect Jesus but then also reject his claim that he is God, unless they reject the Bible as corrupt, which manuscript evidences show is false. The best New Testament Bible translations we have today are 99.98% the same writing today as it was when originally written in Greek, with only minor clerical copyist errors. None of these very minor differences contradict any core Christian teaching, including that in the earliest manuscripts we see the "I AM" and divine nature of Christ. . So, unless a Muslim can judo-chop a hole in 5,100 reliable historic manuscripts... it's not going to matter that he's a black belt vs. a white belt. Truth is truth, whether simple or complex. Thankfully, Christianity is wonderfully simple. Christ invites us to trust in him as the God/Man who died and rose for the forgiveness of our sins. You get to either accept him or reject him, but what you don't get to do is brush him off as "just another prophet." He claimed divinity; he accepted worship; he was crucified for blasphemy: therefore, he's either divine or he's a lunatic. Choose one or the other. There is no "Option 3".

@@Theo_Skeptomai Lol, every credible historian knows Jesus existed: Of course the doubt as to whether Jesus really existed is unfounded and not worth refutation. No sane person can doubt that Jesus stands as founder behind the historical movement whose first distinct stage is represented by the oldest Palestinian community. (Rudolf Bultmann, Jesus and the Word (London: Collins/Fontana, 1958), p. 13. To doubt the historical existence of Jesus at all … was reserved for an unrestrained, tendentious criticism of modern times into which it is not worthwhile to enter here. (Günther Bornkamm, Jesus of Nazareth, Translated by I. and F. McLuskey with J. M. Robinson (New York, NY: Harper and Row, 1960), p. 28. I am of the opinion (and it is an opinion shared by every serious historian) that the theory [“that Jesus never lived, that he was a purely mythical figure”] is historically untenable. (Willi Marxsen, The Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth (Philadelphia, PA: Fortress, 1970), p. 119. To sum up, modern critical methods fail to support the Christ-myth theory. It has “again and again been answered and annihilated by first-rank scholars.” In recent years “no serious scholar has ventured to postulate the non-historicity of Jesus”-or at any rate very few, and they have not succeeded in disposing of the much stronger, indeed very abundant, evidence to the contrary. (Michael Grant, Jesus: An Historian’s Review of the Gospels (New York, NY: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1977), p. 200. Contemporary New Testament scholars have typically viewed their [i.e., Jesus mythers] arguments as so weak or bizarre that they relegate them to footnotes, or often ignore them completely. (Robert Van Voorst, Jesus Outside the New Testament: An Introduction to the Ancient Evidence (Grand Rapids, MI: Eerdmans, 2000), p. 16 The total evidence is so overpowering, so absolute that only the shallowest of intellects would dare to deny Jesus’ existence. All prophets are sinless in Islam; so is Mary, and so are the angels. And while Jesus has yet to die, he will eventually die like any other man. When Jesus returns to earth, he will govern by the sharia, not his only standards. Lastly, he will not, as you would believe as a Christian, have any independent authority on judgement day. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

"How can a being with sight not see what's in front of them? I don't think any being with eyes could possibly close their eyes, especially on purpose." Is the equivalent of saying God couldn't chose to become a man.

I agree brother if the text is silent we should be as well. But let me say this if we add up ages and the years the scripture gives us from Genesis to Christ we do get about 4000 years and we are about 2000 years after Christ. No we do not have exact number but we are in the ballpark. Also, the Bible does describe creatures that we would nowadays call dinosaurs such as behemoth. the description of the behemoth would best describe some sort of brachiosaurus that is the only thing that we know of that would fit the description.

Matteo 5;3 Blessed are the poor in spirit see the Kingdom of God , remember poor in spirit is better than a man full of knowledge person because if you are poor knowledge you few stress, problem, difficultis and you can sleep a good sleeping. The most meaning of the poor in spirit is very humble man than the full of knowledge and I think God happy if you are a man of a full of humility.

6:43 its completely illogical, irrational, impossible for God to limit himself. But thats is where we come to understand God, as a being that can do impossible things, but this being doesnt need to obey our descriptive logical laws. God is not bounded by what humans say its true. This generation fear to say God does things which are illogical for us.

Isn’t it interesting that God needs to command us to love Him, whereas if we allowed ourselves to realise God’s infinite goodness, we wouldn’t need to be commanded to do what we would automatically do. And also the fact that Jesus never sinned has us loving Him with a grateful love we have never previously known.

As humans, our perception of heaven is often limited by the dimensions of the world we currently inhabit. However, it is essential to understand that heaven exists in a separate dimension altogether - a tangible place where we truly belong. In this divine realm, we shall experience immortality, devoid of negative thoughts, sin, or sickness. Instead, we will be enveloped in perpetual joy, robust health, and enduring life. Our purpose will be to serve both God and all beings, fostering a profound sense of interconnectedness and love. Furthermore, the eternal reunion with all our beloved family members awaits us in heaven. The bonds we cherish will transcend earthly limitations, enabling us to be together for eternity. In this celestial abode, weariness is inconceivable, as the confines of time as we know it do not bind us. Timelessness in heaven ensures that exhaustion and monotony are alien concepts, granting us an existence filled with boundless energy and endless opportunities for growth and fulfillment.

The lady essentially asked, why doesn't a god make itself known to those who do not believe. Cliffes answer: "Any thinking person [would] believe in him" "93% of ppl believe in god/gods" "Unless you have sex with me, I don't think you love me" (as a way to analogize asking for evidence as manipulative) None of these points suffice. To some, god is like an online overseas boyfriend. You're given an image or idea of this boyfriend, he has sent you letters. But still not sure if this person is real - need more evidence.

So, just a small question... I am a Christian, and I know that this question may or may not have an answer that the human mind could grasp..., but I would like to hear your answer. So, how can we say that we will recognize our loved ones in heaven and at the same time that there will be no sadness in heaven? I am asking because I am humanly imagining that the moment we realize that some of our loved ones are not in heaven (if we actually realize that) we would get really sad. So, I just would like to know if there is an explanation for that? If there isn't, I would definitely understand that maybe we are just not ready to understand that heavenly knowledge of how that could work. Many blessings

At that point God will be wholly within you. You will be fully sanctified and one with God so while your loved ones might not make it you will understand why and not be sad about it most likely. Every tear will be wiped.

The young Muslim said, "I can't comprehend an all-powerful God coming into this world" (paraphrase). What? An all-powerful God who created the heavens and the Earth is only limited to 2 things. 1. God cannot lie. 2. God cannot take away man's free will. (Isaiah 55:8) "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways declare the Lord." There are some things about God that as human beings we will not understand this side of eternity.

In the Muslim religion there is no assurance of salvation. The good deeds must over weigh the bad deeds, they are there own judge. But truly Jesus came as the Son of God and the spotless Lamb of God to sacrifice himself to take away the sins of the world once and for all. Man can not overcome sin but only believing and having Faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior will one be forgiven of sins. The weight of one’s sins is transferred to Jesus, who the Son sets free is free indeed! Only by Gods Grace and Fatih in Jesus Christ can one come unto the Father. There is no peace in the soul of the Muslim, they lack Jesus Christ.

Here is what i think about the points he made: 1. "I and the Father are one"; I think it means "I do what my father will do. We think alike. But he still calls the Father, "father". Obviously, Jesus reverenced God. 2. "Before Abraham, I was": That Jesus came before Abraham doesn't automatically mean he came before God. Even angels for example were made before any man, including Adam. So, here's my point. Jesus is the Son of God. His first creation. And through him, God's love is showed to us. The bible tells us that Jesus is the first born of all creation. Meaning Jesus was created....by God. Peace.

My wife and I are both believers yet she says she isn't christian we got onto a discussion of witch craft and insists that Jesus conducted witch craft how do I explain the miracles of Jesus and witchcraft are different
@sidwhiting665 Жыл бұрын
Easy, just show her in the Bible where witchcraft is forbidden. Also, sadly your wife is not a believer if she thinks Jesus is a witch. She is a pagan who believes in magic and / or something else that isn't Jesus. Time to dig into the Bible together to see if she believes what is written or not. There is no room for witchcraft among Christians.
@saintpaulofyoutube4416 Жыл бұрын
Witchcraft would be the act of calling upon dark or demonic forces to act upon the physical world. I might ask your wife how she reached the conclusion that Jesus miracles were the result of demonic forces.

Her question: why doesn't God appear to humans and reveal himself can also be answered like this "God already appeared, and the time he was on earth people still did not repent and many denied him and continue to do so even today, He was later killed".
