Whenever you see a custom Pete, Kenworth, western star etc any of these classic trucks those guys probably been driving for 15/20+ years. Now fleet trucks with swift on side is what you should run from. Btw that’s definitely not a 25 foot trailer lmao.

I've seen mile long tractors pulling 53's. Really gotta hand it to those guys. So many cities are totally non truck friendly. I've relocated, or even detached from my trailer, to give them more room. Some older places I've been to where in place before 53 foot trailers came about. Tight, tight, tight.

South Boston as well as all of Boston & surrounding metro area are tough with a big truck.. I use to be in there delivering for Whole Foods every other day. I had a day cab with a 53' most of the time. sometimes we went to certain stores with 45' or a 48' as there was no way getting in with anything bigger.. We had one store in Brookline where we had to put the load on a straight job 10 pallets at a time bc no way a trailer could go there. LOL

Well the longer the wheelbase the bigger the turn has to be people in their little bitty cars just don't understand here in my transition for my Subaru to my Dakota quad cab it has a longer wheelbase and I have to account for that when making right turns because I can't make them is tight anymore without going up on the corner of the sidewalk or nothing.

There's a powerplant near me where I used to haul Flyash from and backing into their loading area which is also a scale is a really narrow spot, few inches on either side if you setup right. There's a high speed bump just in front of the scale that at an angle that you have to back over first and I scraped every damn time in a Pete 579 (I think) with a coffin sleeper. Still makes me sad to think of it.

That depends on who is behind the wheel of the truck I drove a water truck at a casino cause they had a grounds matince facility on I was employed on the maintenance department for 3 months and when the boss had me deliver a load of water to the on site company garden I would always let the truck warm up for 5 minutes before pulling out to deliver the water and I would always give my self extra room to make sure I had enough room to make the wide turns. I now wash dishes at the Same casino but plan on going back to grounds matince cause I was happier doing that i regret leaving grounds

Try backing into a spot way more narrow than that at night with cars behind waiting, oncoming and parked on all sides. The driving in this video was easier than his drivers test in which he drove a 53' through the Bronx.
