Give Me Hunger - Jake Runestad
Give Me Hunger is a setting of a poem by Carl Sandburg. The poet asks the gods to strike upon him with hunger and pain, saying that to him love is so important that he would give up all his pleasures in life for love.
The piece opens with anguished outcries and rhythmical vigour. After a dramatic build-up, the craving is depicted by lyrical melodies and lush harmonies.

Dieser Chor ist einer der Besten der Welt. Der Chorleiter ist nahezu perfekt in der Interpretation und seine Ausstrahlung ist einfach super. Macht weiter so. Ich bin ein großer Fan mittlerweile. Ist irgendwann mal ein Konzert in Deutschland geplant? Grüße aus Heidelberg.
