It really took me 3 seconds to realize this is fake, are people really this gullible these days? Like its so damn obviously fake. Oh well.
@Jimmymatthewb9 ай бұрын
@@MrSkmeIt isn't fake. He does this all the time. It would take MORE effort to fake all these videos, than it would to do it for real. There's hundreds of homeless people in every city why the hell would you think he would go through so much effort to fake all his videos when he could just as easily do it for real. You literally have no idea what you're talking about. Bro is awesome. A similar KZbinr was in my city recently doing the same thing and that was definitely real because I seen him. And I help homeless people in MY city all the time, too. So why would someone else not do the same? Why would I be "gullible", to think that someone else is doing what I sometimes do myself? Makes NO sense, bud. These are just regular interactions in the USA it's not like seeing an alien. And what exactly did you see "in three seconds", that made you so confident it was fake, anyway? A homeless person looking for food in a dumpster?? HAVE YOU EVER BEEN OUTSIDE?? I SEE THAT EVERY DAY in the NYC area!! WHERE DO YOU LIVE???

@@MrSkmeSeems like a pretty stupid thing to do as it's probably much quicker and easier to just help homeless people. You'll have no problem finding them in pretty much any larger city in the US so like go up to one, ask if they're cool with filming them if you get them stuff they need. Only possible reason I could think of is it's a little bit safer faking it, but other than that.. You'd probably have to spend more to pay someone to go through with wearing trashed clothing, get that clothing in the first place or ruin perfectly good clothes and make the person look homeless and stuff to fake it. ...or you just ask a random homeless dude that seems safe and sane enough, which isn't particularly hard nowadays.

I just wish society could come around and see that we're all just trying to survive on this rock hurtling through space, and no one has more or less value because of their circumstances. I too just want everyone out of situations like these. I was homeless for a time when I came out to my family, and I was so grateful I had purchased a car as a young teenager, because it was my home. These poor people don't even have that much.
@J_Trask11 ай бұрын
@@phillisob yes if you have a car and it’s legal, you’re in a better spot than a lot of people. I think it is terrible what is happening overseas, but we have our own citizens that are falling through the cracks. The thing is that the USA loves you when you’ve got money, but when you don’t, it can be a scary place. I remember years ago unexpectedly getting fired from a job, and my perspective was different when I didn’t have cash flow.
@phillisob11 ай бұрын
@totesmagotes3688 Definitely. I was really moved by Robin William's reaction to playing a homeless man. He came out of it with an unbelievable respect and love for the homeless. Most of the people in the US in 2023 are one bad thing away from a situation just like ours. Why can't people just respect the intrinsic value we all have as humans and reach out a helping hand? I love these videos because I think they do make some people realize not everyone on the streets is an addict. And even addicts have a whole life that's led up to that point. We should look at why and try to help them rather than demonizing them.

@user-wm4xr7oo3q Жыл бұрын
@@MarissaTheMuseboth of you guys are out of your minds, first off, it’s not “humiliating”, pretty much everyone in the comments understand what this man is going through, no one should be watching this and thinking about how more valuable they are as a person, than this struggling man, second off, these youtubers don’t fake their videos or hire paid actors, it’s sad that people look at these videos this way, these type of content creators make gofundme’s for people in need, and save their lives. hope you get past whatever made you say that.
@MarissaTheMuse Жыл бұрын
@@user-wm4xr7oo3q first off I agree but there’s a huge stigma attached to homelessness and people have a great deal of shame associated with it regardless of whether they should or not. Secondly, I happen to know for a fact one of the biggest channels that does this type of stuff is not what it appears to be. I didn’t say it was hired actors or “staged” per se in this case (although that absolutely does happen and KZbinrs have been exposed for it and apologized etc. But there’s nuance…like it or not, and I know for a fact there’s a degree of directing going on even for completely legit homeless people. Peter Bond’s videos are a perfect example. You’re on drugs if you think he literally just happens to be walking behind the homeless dude he helped a few months before. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s all fake but it’s absolutely dramatized, directed etc. to varying degrees for maximum impact and whether you think that diminishes what’s being done or not or suggests it’s completely fake or whatever that’s on you to decide for your self. But one thing is undeniable, some are completely fake, some are varying degrees of fake, and some are completely legit. If you think that’s not the case, you’re way too gullible.
@tjshultz89 Жыл бұрын
@@user-wm4xr7oo3q they exploit vulnerable people for youtube views. This homeless guy is at the lowest point in his life and in order for him to be helped by this youtuber he has to dance like a monkey for him. I try and help as many people as I can even if it's just buying someone lunch or dinner. The last thing I'd do to them is put a camera on them to show my good deed to the world. It takes away the human connection and turns it into media. If you're someone who posts to social media whenever you've done something nice for someone, you're expecting your reward to be the admiration of others. That's an ulterior motive to what should be an altruistic act. If you can't do something good for someone without also trying to get something out of it, you're probably not as good a person as you want people to believe you are.

@@MarissaTheMuseyou must live a sheltered life to think it’s hard to find homeless people to help irl. Also if the videos weren’t recorded then he doesn’t make money to fund the help in the first place, this guy has helped many people and has all the receipts, take a day off being a being a cynic

This "actor" looks exactly the same, still not showing any of the "embarrasment" mentioned at the beginning, nor pride, grattitude, hope for the future, nothing. He has exactly the same attitude at the start of the vid as the end. This is clearly one of those "let's put some dirt on my mates face, buy some new clothes together, get a haircut, spend a night in a hotel and get random people on the internet to fund it" videos but with zero effort.
