So happy your channel got into my recommended. You are on the exact path I have been dreaming of and am very curious to be following your journey! It’s always so comforting to discover someone with similar ideals and life struggles that they found a way to overcome. I am in my first year as resident doctor in Norway and have been panicking about this being the rest of my life. My one non-negotiable in life has for the longest time been that I HAVE to live for a time in Australia, but to get there I would have to finish my GP training of 5-7 yrs. But looking through your journey I might be able to do so sooner..! I just hit 30 and don’t feel like spending my best years stuck working my ass of 24/7 cuz of understaffed healthcare. Don’t get me wrong I love being able to contribute to society in a meaningful and fulfilling way, but I also want to fulfill my travel and photography passion on the side as well. But first of I gotta work to pay of my enormous/crippling study loans.

i'm glad my channel found you! i'm lucky australia recognised the UK medical degree, you should check if they do for Norway too! if not there are other pathways (which involve some exams). I only worked for a couple of years in the UK before moving to Aus. good luck to you!

This is only the 2nd video of yours I've come across - but after watching the one you referenced in this video (the one that went viral), where you got choked up with emotion, I immediately subscribed because your words impacted me quite deeply. I love that you donated the first AdSense check, and to a great charity no less. This is a goal of mine as well for my own channel. I'm very excited to keep following you & your partner's journey! Not sure if you've done a video like this before, but I'd love to hear about some of your favorite places you've been to in Central America. Maybe a Do's/Don'ts, best of /worst of, etc, or just a general story-time could be an interesting angle. I'm taking a one-way ticket to Costa Rica next year for my own 'mini retirement' and would love to hear more about your experiences. Cheers, safe travels, & take care!

I appreciate your kind comment. I hope you reach your goal on your channel and enjoy your mini-retirement in Costa Rica - just a heads up i've heard Costa Rica is one of the more expensive places in Latin America so we've avoided it this time. Guatemala, Colombia and El Salvador have been quite affordable for us. That's a good idea of an upcoming video, I was thinking of doing something like that so I'll try and tie it in!

Good luck to the promising doctor Chris. I wish you success and a happy life with your future wife, why not? I also hope to increase the number of subscribers to your channel. Just a small humanitarian request, if you find anyone who needs your help in El Salvador in particular and in any country you reach. You know they do not have enough medicine and treatment. Do your task and you are satisfied with yourself. Especially for cases of high fever, first aid, as well as assessment and general examination. Good luck, bro.

great video as usual, congrats on getting monetized :) silver play button is just around the corner. that idea of effective altruism is something i've contemplated for a while now without knowing it had a proper name haha. part of me still feels icky recording myself doing good things - so i don't - but this video gave me a reason to reconsider

it's quite a movement of narcissists and scammers, and I wish I was joking!
@liamzgbАй бұрын
@@germank7924 can you elaborate?
@germank792429 күн бұрын
@@liamzgb you know SBF, right? Anyway, the peculiar concept of this "altruism" is that first you have to do whatever it takes to get rich, like bribe senators in the USA, then you'll be most effective :)

I really enjoy your channel man. Hey can you do a video about the travel insurance you use and how to deal with health insurance while unemployed?

I really like the video/sound quality of your content. Do you have a video that talks about your equipment/setup?
@doctorchrisg28 күн бұрын
thanks dude, i do not but if enough people ask for it i can make one. but short answer is: 1. sony zv e-10 with sigma f/1.4 16mm lens + ECM-B1M mic 2. iphone 14 pro max 3. insta 360 (occasionally)

Just a suggestion (I know everyone has an opinion), you could give a monetary gift to special people you meet along the way who help you

I like that. Thanks for the suggestion!

What's your stance on c19 vaccinations? 🤔
@stelios709Ай бұрын
Your video was suggested by KZbin because it's similar to other travel KZbinrs we watch here on KZbin. This video dragged on way too much, felt quite flat and there was no logical order watching you for the first time. There is no oomph. Maybe that's the reason. Sorry it may not be what you want to hear but I need to say it.

I am going to disagree with this for when the doctor sees. I like the slow pace, not everything has to be brain rot short form content.

Clearly if it wasn't fast, punchy, and over-edited, to your liking - you could have clicked off. Do you really think this advice is helping him at all? I disagree and appreciate genuine, thoughtful content like his. Because his story is authentic and other authentic people recognize this energy and are drawn to it.
