Giving Mermaze a Second Chance? Winter Waves Kishiko Review!

She's my favorite one of the Winter Waves, too. She's stunning! I do worry about the glittery tails (hoping they don't cloud up or start to look bad over time) but she was too pretty to pass up!

I'm so glad you got her and are enjoying her. She really is a beautiful doll. I love this series. I was a little skeptical at first too. But, then I saw how pretty they were, and ended up collecting 4 of them. The show is cute and to me better than RH/SH. I like all the shimmery visuals and the overall story is about friends coming together and being there for each other.

I love the clear tail with glitter inside. i wish doll lines would make legs as interesting as these tails

There are some Novi Stars dolls with that effect in their legs! But they're a bit hard to find

I have a mermaid mermaze on a made to move body. I bought her in a small RH lot. I really wanted her badly and Daria (the 2 reasons I wanted that lot). It is Jordie and she is my favourite of the first wave. I love her. I would not mind to have one of the winter mermaids (keeping her original body) but I would only buy her reduced and one only! lol space, space... well, it is becoming a huge issue.

I neglected to mention you might really enjoy taking a peek at Morra!😃 She's quite interesting for many reasons and would make for a good video unboxing. Especially from an adult collector standpoint. I intended to do a video about her but never got around to it. I think I paid $66 Canadian for her. She's priced fairly imho, due to how unique of an experience the company made her to be, and then of course the many different pieces she comes with for creating completely different looks. Again, a lot of thought went into designing her. After seeing what could be done with this doll line from the snow globe tails to Morra's very unique concept, I am excited to see what they do next! PS: I feel your pain about influencers recieving free dolls as well as the scalpers! It would help if Mattel got rid of their 4 dolls per doll order.😡 Make it one per doll so everyone can purchase one. Ticks me off that the dolls will already be for sale on eBay before they've even been shipped or officially released in some cases! And the scalpers always have the allowed 4 dolls available, which is against Mattels rules to advertise nevermind pre sell.. Sorry for the rant lol You did a FANTASTIC breakdown on your video pertaining to issues with the company's, market prices etc👏🏼 (I can’t figure out how to put Firece Cleo's gold cape on either lol)

These ended up being my favorite doll release for the year. The Fierce Collector Cleopatra doll coming in 2nd. I really appreciated the company listening to feedback from the Season 1 dolls. From the terrible boxes to upping the overall quality. In hand/out of box, you can tell alot of thought went into each S2 dolls tail design. I love every single one of them. The heads are loose and all lean to the side on mine as well. Definitely due to the weight of the hair. I was super disappointed that the winter waves Kishiko is missing her cute freckles though. Awesome that you gave Mermaze a second chance! (Gwen is a real stunner out of box.. 😉)

Yay you posted this review. Overall there’s more improve than non-improvements and that’s what we like to see from these companies! For some reason I also think their faces are much prettier than season 1 but idk why. The tail is awesome I think kids will love those tails. I’m so glad they are protected inside the box this time. I wouldn’t pay $40 but the $20 sale price is hard to beat!

I looked at her and was disappointed that her hair didn't match the color of the box art. I had heard that their hair was very heavy and if I ever purchase one, I will have to either try the stand the way you did, or (Oh no :) ), may cut the hair just a bit. Not sure I would do that though :) Thanks for the honest review

I am trying so hard not to get into these dolls but I really do like the snow globe effect and just might need to get Nera, especially seeing how much you really liked Kishiko (ohhhh but you’re kinda making me want Kishiko too 😅)

For real, they always decide to behave when I'm trying to make a point 😂 I'm actually about to set a premiere for Nera, I bought her after Kishiko was so good! Without spoiling too much, I will say Nera was better than the original run, but not as good as Kishiko in my opinion

This Kishiko is so pretty I already have her from wave 1 so I skipped her in winter waves. I think the last ones I’ve debated are Riveria only cause my daughter likes her. And Nera which actually my daughter is into that 1 as well. I bought Gwen 1st in winter waves. Kishiko was our 1st in wave 1. I know all others we def got on major sales/clearance. 👍👍👍 skipped Harmonique in wave 1 and Kishiko in winter waves. Haven’t unboxed Crystabella yet or Jordie.

I've been on the fence with the mermaze dolls. It's not a quality thing it's the style and look of them. The winter line has slightly warmed my perspective and the pj line might convince me idk
