Those worried about spraying his face.. A) He actually likes his face being sprayed, he often turns his head into the water just to get it on his face. B) He has his ears back because that’s what horses do to stop water getting in them. C) We have low water pressure, so it isn’t exactly a hard spray...

A horses face needs to be sprayed occasionally, especially when they get sweaty. Leaving sweat go can lead to hair loss, discomfort, and I would imagine if it got bad enough, an infection. The PETA fans are just ignorant.

28yo... this year on vacation i was on a summer camp. I formed a bond with a 27yo horse. I was the only one she jumped under and respected that much. Nobody else would be able to tack her up in her stall, nobody else would be trusted by her as much as I was. ...A week after the camp the girl I was in the room with that stayed an extra week told me the mare died. I miss her greatly. I am sorry since it's completely unrelated but I saw the title and just cried because i remember not even being able to say goodbye since he was limbing and was alone in her stall. I am crying while writing this. I miss her so much now. I hope your horse stays with you as long as possible

Haha we have the same shampoo in NZ. Once for curiosity reasons we go bayed a chestnut 😂 turned her from bright orange to a nice rich liver chestnut stayed like that for a few weeks 😂

dzjaag Oils have nothing to do with temperature. Oils and such do go into growing a good thick coat though. Internal temperature is biggest for keeping a horse warm. They're cecal fermenters, they digest fibers through their cecum, those fibers generate heat in their bodies and allow them to stay warm. Which is why you can judge a horses diet based on whether snow melts on their backs or not.

My horses are the same way. We cant separate them from the pony or the pony from them. Or they panic. Ive never seen a pony buck untill then,but😂
