They legally cannot sell cars directly to consumers here, so I suppose they also cannot offer trade ins, since they’re not a dealership. Your future Tesla may be in your town, but you buy it in CA via online/offline documents. So how would they accept a trade in? They tell you to take the car to CarMax and regardless of how freaking long it takes them to finalize and give you your car (3 months for us, I believe), they will honor that value. I don’t think they compensate CarMax at all for this service.

Tyler Hoover gave this Minivan from PIMP MY RIDE to a museum in Kansas. Where you and everyone else can see it. HE has a KZbin channel called Hoovies Garage where he posted a video of him personally giving this car to a museum because he didn't have any use for it. He did that months ago and i hate to see ppl still bashing on tyler who is a really nice person and has a deep love for any car.
