One of my close friends is a huge Wolves fan and hearing his feelings is soul crushing. The move felt like damage control for a really bad cost saving move. KAT being gone shows how much the magic of last season was in how well balanced the roster felt with players complimenting each other. I think that DiVincenzo's breakout performance wasn't a fluke and the system seems to not be accommodating to his play and he could potentially improve as the year goes on, but Wolves basketball went from feeling electrifying to a little deflating and trying to find a new rhythm when a huge centerpiece left. On a positive note, shoutouts to KAT tearing it up on his favorite childhood team. It seems that Wolves fans still love him to bits and he genuinely deserves all the flowers for being such a positive player for both organizations and his energy is so infectious. I really do feel so happy when KAT is thriving.

I just didn’t see how trading for Randle would complement Ants game. Kat was never ball dominant and played his role perfectly alongside Ant. With Randle you’re getting a guy who will take defensive plays off every night. Then on offense he’s a guy who will look off a wide open Anthony Edwards so he can jab step 3 times and get into his iso. I don’t think Randle is a bad player but I never understood how pairing with Anthony Edwards would work with the offensive liability known as Rudy Gobert also on the court.
