Great vide, Mick. It’s always good to see a few fish being caught, but that good one that you lost would have been great to see man.

It was a toadfish, mate. Its always a toadfish when you drop them without seeing them.

Yeah tell me about it... in the end I'm really thinking it was a big Bream like massive Bream, it didn't actually have the tail thumps of trev or Sambo.... Unfortunately now we will have to go with toad fish I reckon 😅 Cheers mate 🍻

As nice as this spot looks still a lot of bad run off.. I choose not to eat from this system, but I have met a few people who do and say it's fine... I'm a little more picky, I would eat a Sambo or king from there as they don't stay in the system long. One of my favourite spots on the Lane cove, I don't think I will get my winter Jewfish there though, they definitely travel through but trying to find where they feed is key...

Cheers mate, I actually have a few sets I just usually forget to pack them 😅 I think the fish I lost may have been a big Bream, it didn't have the thumps of trev or salmon... No idea what else it could have been, I don't think EP go that hard and I felt like, it had to many directions changes for the ghost...

Unfortunately a lot of water around Sydney is polluted so I don't eat from the local waterways usually, I do have a few catch and cooks in my cooking playlist though 👍 I also just enjoy seeing the fish swim off but when I go to other areas I take a feed, I recently went to the hauksbury river and took home a couple of flatties, no video for that day, unfortunately GoPro wasn't charged.... I got there and turned it on, only to see it on 11% I think the charger wasn't in properly 😞 Cheers legend Tonight will be the normal time of 8:15pm hopefully you can make it 👍🎣

@@bushfishncook2128 nah I don’t reckon I’ll make it tonight…. We’re half way to Mackay and mum said a “early” night as we have a barbie tomorrow night and she it will be a real late night… if I can beg enough she might let me stay up though 🤣🤣, as much as I love seeing the fish swim off I absolutely love a nice feed, especially yella belly or the one and only cod that I ate! I’ve seen a few for your trout catch and cooks!

great video as always mate!!:) somehow you always manage a fish or two unlike me😂 quick question mick, how do you tell if a spot is fishable at low tide? couple of times i’ve tried and it’s just too low to be productive land based. do you just give it a shot and hope for the best or do you have a way of knowing/checking depth etc?
@bushfishncook2128
@bushfishncook2128 Ай бұрын
Cheers mate, much appreciated 👍 It's a lot of persistence at times but if you know there is fish there, it's worth being persistent 🎣 So to find spots to fish, I use a mix of google maps and then for depth, I use gps nautical charts, there you can access the nav iconics map for free, just click on the map, instead of hitting "buy". you can change the depth units to meters, if you prefer, by taping the three bars at the top left of the screen. If you type "depth chart Sydne", it will pop up, as the top search. 👍 Hope that can help you find a few more fish, in winter I really love by the saying l, fish light, get the bite, 6lb leader may snap at times on toothy fish, but with the drag set right, you will be fine with most species, well most of the time. if you set hook quick you miss the teeth, on those toothy fish too, once again most of the time hahaha
