Cheers mate, I like trying to do things i never see other people doing, sometimes it's not about the size of the fish but just, being out there and enjoying fishing 🎣 Appreciate it mate and hope you will catch more from the things you learn here 👍 No stress about the membership mate, but I definitely appreciate you even thinking about it, that means enough to know you enjoy the channel so much 👍🎣

The other day I landed a low 30s Bass, on one of these tiny hooks some how!!! the light drag obviously helped it not bend, I had to walk the bass to the side, to land it... Cheers mate, spring has come early here, I hope it's starting to warm up for you too, looking forward to your next adventure 👍

Hahaha yeah if you were here mate, you would have caught a bucket full 😅 This is a great bit of fun and something I do every so often, yet I had never filmed it... Potamalosa richmondia, the Australian freshwater herring, is a fish that is endemic to Australia. It is the only member of its genus. You can only find them in a few rivers I believe... This is the information from the Net The freshwater herring, Potamalosa richmondia Macleay, occurs in coastal rivers of south-eastern Australia from the east Gippsland region of Victoria (Cadwallader and Backhouse 1983) north to the Tweed River in northern New South Wales (Lake 1978) So it's possible you have them up in the fresh on a river down your way, late afternoon they are actively hitting the surface, so just a walk along the banks of an afternoon can tell you, bread on a float with mosquito hooks will get them, we used to cut down a sabiki rig so it just had 2 hooks making it legal in freshwater, good for mullet as well, they usually follow the herring around in a month or two...

@@bushfishncook2128 🤣 If we had 100kg herring…. Who cares about Bass. Fly fishing is very rewarding mate. Even more so when you tie your own fly pattern and catch fish on them. Pretty much the same as what you did with your micro plastics 🤙

A little bit like ajing fishing . I have used a cut down sabiki rig for freshwater mullet , I found a tiny bit of scent helped a lot - I used the dizzy scent muddy gudgeon scent but a factor probably works as well . Awesome video mate ! Those little plastics you make would be dynamite on yakkas !

I can't wait to get my ajing combo, I loving using the micro plastics for trout, bream, Aussie salmon and even caught a few mullet on them... the little 0.5g glowing jig heads, by damiki are fire 👍 I was using cheese scent on these plastics. Cheers mate, I really appreciate the awesome feedback 🎣

@@bushfishncook2128 You would probably be interested in another form of fishing from the land of the rising sun- tenkara fishing. A fellow member of a fishing forum I frequent- fishraider put me onto it and I can see immediately it would be deadly on mullet and herring but if you can stalk a trout in a stream it is what this style of fishing is made for ! Even if I don’t go the whole hog and buy the gear it has some benefits that can be adapted to regular fishing tackle as we know it . I really appreciate the epic videos mate !
