I’m watching the replay. The conversation was informative and Layla transparent! One thing that I took away was “Be intentional with self.” That’s my motto for 2024! Thank you 🙏🏾

@AdaliaAborisade I took this conversation to heart; I was tired and took a nap with intention to rest instead of trying to power thru or guzzle down coffee or an energy drink! Good episode!

This is such a real conversation. I haven’t even left the states yet and I’m experiencing some of these emotions, Decision fatigue, and I’ve only been nomadic for two years 🥴I was hoping it was just bc I was new to the whole thing🙁

The storage conversation is the gods honest truth. After 10 years of having my own place I had to decide whether to put all my things in storage or get rid of it. I’m so happy I didnt keep anything. Accumulating a bunch of things just weighs you down. If you want to be free you’ll learn to let go of what is unnecessary.

Have you been to the San Angel neighborhood in Mexico City? I think you'd like to visit Villa San Jacinto in that neighborhood, its a gorgeous home from the 1800s. It was turned into a beautiful cultural and restaurant space to drink coffee or have breakfast in their Cafe de las Artes with views of art sculptures and beautiful garden. It's a nice place to meet people.

I remember her. Loved the first interview too. I loved solo traveling in Turkey for three months without a plan. Beautiful landscapes. Yummy food in the Black Sea region. Thanks for having Layla on again. Truth about traveling too quickly.

Sage wisdom from both ladies. The biggest take away for me is that there is a season for every phase in our lives and to recognize when the tides have changed for the better❤❤

Wow! Her life is … Go Go Go! Wow! I’m exhausted listening to her story! To each his own, and I see why she chose that lifestyle and now realizes that she needs to slow down a bit. I do have to say there’s nothing better than travel and experiencing different countries, different cultures, different food. I think everyone should work hard so they can travel hard! So good for her!🥰🌟🏝️

Yes! What is it about books, ya'll? I am currently in Costa Rica, but before getting here last year we sold one of our homes in the States. Getting rid of my books was the hardest thing. The used bookstore was tired of seeing me as I dragged boxes and boxes of books over a few month period. I didn't get rid of all of my books though and am instead storing them in my beach condo - soon to be sold as well. Any books that I thought that yes, I will read those books again again before I die, I kept those. Also, I have probably 30 or so leather-bound books that look so beautiful on a shelf that I couldn't get rid of them. As I travel to and from the states to visit family and what not, I always bring some of the books back with me. That said, I have no intention of buying any more books in the future. I purchased a new Nook and so now I use that instead since reading is such a large part of my life.

I think I missed something. At the beginning it was stated she was in Turkey, but towards the end it was stated she was in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I was moving about a lot so I guessed I missed hearing how she ceme to be in Mexico from Turkey.
