Most people who buy a new model HD are completely brainwashed by 120+ years of history. I was the 2nd shift Quality Supervisor/Engineer at the York plant till last Nov when my position was eliminated. These are not high end motorcycles and they are definitely not worth the money. They are not American made but simply American assembled by the least skilled workforce that I’ve ever worked around. Anyone in the market would be better off buying a 2022 model or older, or simply buying from a different manufacturer. HD as you know it, no longer exists. As long as the current CEO is running things and they don’t go back to their roots, HD is poised to fail. The financial report for 4th qtr 2024 comes out Feb 5th. Considering they are halting 2nd shift assembly prior to Feb 24th, I would imagine it doesn’t look good.

The attitude Harley management has towards its customer base as well as their woke politics is more than sufficient to keep me out of their dealerships and their prices just confirm that decision. The current management of Harley has no concept of the customer always being right and they think they can force compliance to their tyrannical policies because they’re HARLEY DAVIDSON. As much as I’d hate to see stockholders lose money and employees to lose their jobs I’d love to see Harley have to file bankruptcy and their board be replaced by someone that knew what customers wanted or at least were willing to listen.

I had a 2019 Breakout. It was a cool looking bike, but it was absolutely the most uncomfortable bike to ride on the highway. Sure, I could've put a windshield on it, but if I'm going to do that then I'm going to go with something else. I currently have a 24 Road Glide, and it's nice too, but I've had it in the shop several times to have the computer updated, which is something I've never had to do on any of my Harleys before. To me, Harley seems more interested in coming up with cool names for very average paint (whiskey fire = tomato red). I'd like Harley to start doing the little things like chroming the lower forks and and putting decent grips on their bikes if they are going to charge premium prices.

Everyone is running a 2into1 pipe these days. I’m running one myself. It made sense for Harley to follow the trends. Same with the Harley crash bars. Santoro crash bars are very popular then everyone started copying them including Harley.I definitely think the 2into1 factory pipe is a lot better looking then previous. Cut the baffle out and you have a performance pipe you can run and not be in a rush to trash the old crappy looking ones before. They also made the bags both the same size now on the low-rider-ST going with a 2into1.

Thanks Gixxer. The advantage of 2 into 1 exhaust on the Lowrider & Heritage is the right side saddle bag isn't chopped off at the bottom so both have the same shape unlike previous years. Who could afford these prices? Every few years ' the older generation ' it is claimed, stops riding, can't ride, whatever. Who believes this? First, ya'll (maybe not you Gixxer, I don't know) disparaged men riding 'the girls' bike - a Sportster. I ride an Ultra Classic and a Sportster. I get shit for riding that Sportster every f'n place I go. 1. Maybe a lot of working men - "blue collar workers" and/or older guys could just afford a Sportster or ride one bc it's light but ya'll shamed us relentlessly for owning and riding one ! Who's responsible then for those potential Harley purchases going by the wayside? 2. The beloved air cooled Sportster is gone. So maybe and most likely the next affordable option was the Softail Standard which appeals to more riders than those water cooled Sportsters. Yeah, it still looks like a Harley. 3. The Softail Standard is gone now. People could afford that 2024 motorcycle at around $14,999.00. 4. Next choice- the Street Bob, still looks like a Harley. ( unlike those water cooled Sportsters ) But the price - $17,199. I watched a few channels talking about the 2025 Harley reveal with most comments about the prices - "that's not bad." And about $2,000 for black paint option - " that's not bad." WTF? Not too bad for who: The old timers who still want to ride but are dependent on Social Security income or like me a Disabled Veteran pension? Affordable for the Blue Collar worker in this high inflation economy? I remember the days WE called 'those' bikes from Japan rice burners. Well, that was one thing if you agree or not BUT then there was a shift- Harley riders turned on ' their own ' with the Sportsters are girls bikes crap. Did you hear me - you turned on your own. So let me sum up the demise of Harley Davidson; 1. You better than thou, sarcastic bagger and touring riders shaming away new riders ( blue collar workers that wanted a Harley) present riders and old timers with your Sportsters are girls bikes rhetoric. 2. Why even consider a Softail Standard or Street Bob after that treatment? 3. Harley killed the affordable price model (Softail Standard) for new riders and old timers looking to ride something that is light, looks like a Harley and was affordable. Have at it with your comments. Johan USMC BEIRUT VETERAN DISABLED SURVIVOR

Maybe. I have noticed a distinct lack of grease under the fingernails of a lot of so-called bikers in the last few years. You might be surprised at how many guys won't even change their own oil. Those posers can't buy an old bike. They need to be able to drop it off at the dealer and have a Starbucks and get their vagina waxed while they wait for a courtesy shuttle to take them back to their condo. Those people are locked in until they decide they'd rather have an RV or a slot at the retirement community. I don't expect old bikes to all the sudden take off in value when there are less people every day that know how to turn wrenches on them or are willing to get dirty and learn.

I love the 2 into 1 exhaust and sound. I left my 2018 Sport Glide with the 2 into 1 completely stock 107. The exhaust length was tuned, and the motor made so much doggone torque off of idle, it was perfect for cruising. Off of stop lights, you could have accidentally left it in 3rd gear, slip the clutch like normal with only a touch of throttle, and the bike would pull away without stalling. I absolutely loved the 107 it had more than enough of everything for cruising, as well as some interstate at 80 mph, however, you really needed a better fairing to ride that fast without your helmet getting the bobbles, and your neck getting cramps in a hour or so.

Their pricing has put me out of the market, but at 70 years old and having bought a 2017 Road Glide Ultra as a retirement present to myself, it wasn't likely anyway. Also since they are running 2 into 1 exhaust the smaller saddlebag on the soft tail st doesn't make sense, not to mention looks bad.

Went with a cobra 2 into 2 on my Breakout to keep the look, but on other softails 2into1 are cool..2into1 can actually sound good when shifting and provide decent power and torque.. 2 into 1 aftermarket aren't cheap. Sorry.. I see u were asking about the oem 2into1.. eh.. they don't look good..and oem probably sound muffled.. definitely would need a slip on or full aftermarket..

I have ONLY had Harley's since my first bike, a 1973 Superglide. Nothing but Harleys. As of now I will NEVER own another one. Harley has sold out us fans. I paid (still have the original invoice) $2695.00 out the door for my 1973 Superglide. According to the US Inflation Calculator that is equal to $19040.36 in todays money. Try and buy a Fatboy or any of the other bikes equal to the Superglide today! Not happening! Harley has lost me as well as MANY, MANY other customers.

The recent cost-cutting measures have resulted in a significant reduction in product quality. The lack of investment in graphics is evident, and the unavailability of a blacked-out motor for $17,000 is unacceptable. Furthermore, the omission of features such as the round 117 primary cover plate on the Street Bob model and the digital speedometer represents a decline in aesthetic appeal. This situation is disappointing; however, I am pleased with my 2024 Street Bob purchase, which includes the number 1 graphics, blacked-out engine, and digital speedometer.

Guys, I thought it was a great reveal, I bought a brand new 2006 Softail Deluxe from South East Harley in Cleveland, Ohio with a color option, it was almost 19k - 20k out the door. 19 years years later they are in the low 20k price range, with all the extra stuff, ABS, TCS, DSCS, TPAS, C-ABS, LED lights, better brakes, suspension, almost half the HP/TQ more. If they gave them away for free, people would still be complaining. Prices of everything is up, you think high end paint material and labor is free? I now own a 2002 Roadking, to make it perform like these Softails, I would need to pay for a 124 kit to be installed. You are saying only 104 or whatever horsepower, your cam/big bore videos barley make those numbers, and that would be an extra 6-8 K on top of the price I paid for the Deluxe in 2006.This year there are better bright color options and more spoke wheel options, heading in the right direction, only complaint I have is all the electronic gauge crap, but if they went back to mechanical, people would complain about that (need Apple car play on a motorcycle, more stuff to distract a rider) . Are Lamborghini/Porsche prices going down each year? I cannot afford one, but I am not complaining, someone is buying them to keep them going.
