No, it's the dealerships also!!!!!!!! They just want you to hand them a blank check on everything they do, or they don't like you. Half of Their so called technicians are a joke . They will never touch my bike again. Probably keeping my old evo but definitely keeping my eye out for a pre owned road star or road liner. I have not been happy with corporate Harley way before this crap. This was the straw that broke the camel's back for me.......

My 2000 Deuce carb model TC88B w/ Screaming Eagle ignition module, Andrew's TW26 cams and proper jetting is giving me 85hp, 95lbft. That's good enough for this old dude....lol!

I had a Vance and Hines Fuel Pack, on my 2004 FXSTI Softail H/D, and it ran great. That's the first thing I installed after installing a set of their Turn Down Pipes.

I put bought an older power vision, got it licensed to use for both of my M8 touring bikes with slightly different stage 2 set ups.. I'm using custom tunes, and quite satisfied without doing a Dynotune (quite often a crap shot).. think I will add/change my AFR ratio slightly richer on one bike as it does tend to heat up past 300 degree (Engine temp) on hwy rides.. but I think I can modify it myself..

It’s up to the the customer to fix this. And I don’t mean mechanical. Why buy a bike that you have to pay someone to just get it to run right. Not to mention Harley is woke now.

Use the autotune function if its available in that tuner..it makes a difference if you do it right.

The PV4 comes with an accessible license that the buyer can access and send the txt file to a tuner who can load it into their OG PV and tune it the right way. PV3 is a totally different animal and uses C3 power commander style software, not WinPv. Not a fan and it costs more than a PV license and a stock improved tune uploaded into the bike. Dyno tuning is the way to go. I get on average 6-8 hp and tq increases all across the board with stock bikes. The before and after dyno sheet looks like train tracks. Nobody ever talks about Thundermax ecm. I put one on my 2017 ultra limited because I could not find anybody with a , with a thundermax you can tune it with your laptop it comes with a usb port. They give you a base map to down load for what you have pipes air cleaner cam etc. very easy to use.

I don't have tuners on my bikes(2-07, 09, 19), I also don't have poppin and crackin. I had 2 carb 883, 60mpg at 60mph, top end 95 same as my brothers '87....until he put 1200 kit changed sprockets My '19 XL1200 is certainly faster acceleration than the 883's, and XR moreso. My VRod is fastest, however it does feel like it's holding back But I'm kinda afraid to start changing stuff because every Harley I've seen having problems have had performance modifications, mine hasn't and I don't have problems

My 88 CI Twin-cam did run hot as hell, and I alway's had to step of the bike at the red traffic light in summer, because it was burning my legs. ♨My 2010 96 CI Twin-cam is still 100% stock, except for the S&S SPO stainless mufflers, and never runs hot. So, I never changed anything for the last 14 years on this bike.

I have a full Stage 1 on my '16 Slim with a V&H Hi-Flow intake, Short Shots, and an FP4. Once I got the FP4 on her and dialed her in with the decel-pop setting and auto-tune, she runs nicely. It's not as nice as my old '00 Super Glide, but still nice. I wish I hadn't sold my Super Glide. I definitely want a late '90s EVO.

So if I leave my bike completely stock, i should be ok with the way the bike is built other than the chain tensioner? Literally just bought a 35th anniversary dyna with 60 miles. Not a typo! 60 miles and i plan on just a slip on exhaust

With my stage 1 FXDC, would it be better just going to a 107 with FM or doing a more bang for your buck build with cams + higher comp pistons? I think I’d like the 555’s but feel like to optimize it to make it worth it I have to bump compression. What are your thoughts?

You really hit on an important point with Stage 2 and that’s the remote (but possible) problems that can occur with adjustable lifters required for Stage 2. I tap out at Stage 1 for that reason alone. Honestly though, a Stage 1 on any M8 is more than enough.

Bought a new Dyna Glide Twin Cam in 1999. It had super quiet exhaust. It ran lousy. The only thing I could hear was it coughing back thru the carb when I took off from idle. They said they would fix it if I paid for it. Warranty would not pay for it. So, I bought slip on headers, K and N air filter and Dino Jet kit. Sounded good, had a lot more power and still cough thru the carb. I still have the motorcycle.

The sad truth is this all because of the EPA bullshit emissions regulations. Didnt just affect Harleys. It has affected everything with an internal combustion engine since this bullshit started back in the early 70s. Dissolve the EPA and f#@@k the EU regs.

Never thought that I would ever say this but, "Remember the good old AMF days"? Rode HD from mid-70's to 1996 when I sold my last one. Don't miss them... don't miss most of the "boomer bikers" trying to ride them. Crappy running, overpriced penile extensions.
