So they said they will release a x3D option probably next year with x3d name or in last quarter of 2025 with new AMD GPUs not Nvidia

I have almost the exact same Blade (3070). Elevating it makes a big difference. That's why u see the bump for this 2025 gen. I also wouldn't game on Turbo/whatever the highest TDP setting is. You're literally asking for your components to fry (like the dude who said his battery blew up) when u let anything run near its max heat rating. Doesn't matter what brand, what device etc, u should never do anything that sustains max temps (besides benchmarks)! PS - my Blade 14 is working flawlessly 👌

Am I on my own when I say this... I hate displays which are recessed into the bezels, instead of having an all-glass edge to edge display like on a MacBook for example. I just think recessed displays look terribly cheap, mainly because you always find them on budget laptops.

Same! My Razer Blade 14 had the glass display, just like my XPS 14. The fact that the last few gens of Blades didn't have this was a big factor in my decision to get a Zephyrus. The Blades with the recessed, matte displays felt hella cheap compared to my previous laptops, and especially for the price.

the problem with these laptops isn't the soldered memory or w/e people are whining about. The real issue is the ENTIRE chassis heats up under load because it's made of aluminum which conducts heat. Palm rest will feel hot enough to fry an egg, not to mention high pitch fans and inferior speakers (to zephyrus g16/mbp).

I had a Blade 16 4090 and thermals were excellent except for the CPU temps... I teuly believe based on my experience this CPU with half the cores should honestly be super easy to cool in the RB16. I bet this is going to be one of the coolest running full power 5090m laptops.

I feel the last best blade 16 was the 2023 model with a 4k 16x10 mini led display which looks amazing vs 1440p 4090 with full 175w tdp and it actually performs better then the 2024 model. I can imagine it will perform the same as this laptop with its 155w tdp 5090 gpu as it is limited.

I'll hold my judgement until we see pricing and benchmarks, but having owned the 2023 blade 16, I liked that it was chonky because it seemed sensible thermal wise considering the components packed into it. Hopefully Razer is using a proper thermal compound now and not just the generic thermal paste like they usually do. I could see the performance being great with a PTM paste alongside ryzen chips.

155W is actually Nvidia's "default" max TGP, but OEM can still maximize it up to 175w. The fact that you can have 155W TGP in a chassis reserved for 120w TGP at best is insane

I think they could thin it further thanks to the AMD CPU that consumes a lot less wattage than the previous Intel 14900HX. The Asus g16 was very popular last year, so they probably tried to target the same market by making a thinner laptop with similar specs. The ideal would have been two distinct models, a blade 16 and a blade 16 thin.

Oof, this thing is going to thermal throttle so bad. I wish they didnt try to make it thinner. My Blade 14 was perfrct and was a little thicker than this, snd that used a lower wattage 60 series card. I cant imagine trying to get 155w from the GPU plus ~25w from the CPU out lf something this thin and not hit throttling limits.

I hope they go the opposite route for the 18 inch model. Gaming laptops are already quite portable. I dont need them to be thinner. I got a Steamdeck for portability and gaming in places. A gaming laptop game experience should prioritize performance, even for Rather or Asus Zephyrus.

Everything you just typed is nonsense! 1. Both 5080 and 5090 run at the same tgp and will generate the same amount of heat so your first point is invalid. 2. Razer have announced they will price this years blade more aggressively so we should see lower priced blade 16s than last year. 3. Been there, done that. Razer laptops just run far too hot .... All of mine have had heavy thermal throttling (yes, with cooling pad, or just raised in the rear). My Razer 16 2024 was trash. Ran incredibly hot and also, the DPC latency was more than I've ever experienced. Razer has serious QA issues as well as, poor support. Stay away ....

So now i will switch brand to msi 18 titan. No need for battery issues and thermal paste issues from brand new razers. I am really pissed off. I dont care if its amd or intel. But tb5 is a must have for a 5090gpu hardcore laptop with costs above $4500

This looks awful. Keyboard is 100% gonna suck; the 2023/2024 laptop keyboards were an absolute nightmare; shallow and junky. Second, this will never ever cool and you won't get any performance. Display seems OK considering it's OLED. Fourth, did they even fix the battery swelling? My 2022 razer 14 is without a battery now. The competitor laptops seem better

To me, it's a failed product. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE RAZER. You might even say that I'm a fanboy because I have only Blades at home. I want my Razer to be performant. I am totally fine with it being thicker, like so that a RJ45 can fit. Not only that, but I want it to utilize the expensive hardware as much as possible. This year, I will skip on Razer! If I want a slim laptop, I would go for M4 silicon.
