What makes SHINee great is that they don't settle for being a star. They keep developing. They are sincere in their work.

Shinee gets a lot of credit for their anthemic showcases, ground breaking experimental performances but their soft sweet ballads never miss either. Their vocal skills and artistry are underrated, (relative to what they can actually do, Jonghyun was always known as the vocal acrobat but Shinee works best together). their nickname maybe CDnee because they made live singing while doing hard choreo the standard but my love for them is because they never really sing the same song twice, the adlibs, runs and turns make each live song unique and fresh. This particular event is extra special because we think they and IU were probably thinking of Jonghyun as he was closest to her and even wrote a song for her.

This is a very special song for both SHINee and SHAWOLs, and you can hear the emotion in SHINee's singing. IU and Jonghyun were great friends. In April of 2017, IU released "Dear Name" as a condolence song for those missing loved ones. In December, 2017, we lost Jonghyun. Therefore, it's not surprising at all that SHINee chose this song to cover for IU. Thank you for reacting to it. Two songs that SHINee wrote themselves to honor their brother, Jonghyun, are: "Our Page" (From their 3-pt album, "The Story of Light". There is an MV.) and "Area" (From their April 2021album, "Atlantis". There is a lyric video). Both songs are hauntingly beautiful yet heart-wrenching at the same time. For me, SHINee has the most incredible and beautiful harmonies than any other group. Each of their voices is so unique that when they come together, they create magic.

I know Onew said he was assigned the meatiest part of the song, but to be honest, he was the perfect person to be main vocal for this song. He has the perfect blend of emotion and technique to breathe new colour to this song.

That's the difference between a singer and an artist. There's a lot of singers out there but artist are not as many as the singers. To be an artist in any field they must see to it that their message must be well understood and felt by anyone who listen or look at their artwork. To be able to become an artist there's a lot of hard work and dedication to what their doing. I believe that SHINee already surpassed their idol journey and now, an artist. I have no intention for using the word singer in any harmful and offensive way.

Actually singer and artist are just the same.. You should use the idol term for kpop.. Majority Idols aren't versatile singers they are just amateur singers who sells visual, catchy songs, dance routines like a dance crew
