The Highline Trail in Glacier National Park is an extremely popular hike. However, don't let the popularity fool you into thinking it's a breeze. The Highline Trail is one of the toughest in America, with spectacular views and ample wildlife. If you plan on visiting Glacier National Park, do so ASAP! Scientists say that by 2030, the glaciers would have melted due to climate change and forest fires. Watch and share this episode so that we can protect our national parks.

Glacier National Park postings USED to post “ the glaciers are receding due to global warming and by 2020 will all be gone”. Nevertheless, this is a great video. Forest fires are a NATURAL part of nature’s cycle. ‘Love your hike.

Those glaciers used to be one giant one from the north pole all the way down to the central US. You are seeing a tiny glimpse of that ongoing glacial retreat, they were never meant to stay.

Many time visitor, this is my favorite hike. For first timers, the Loop Trail down makes for a shorter hike but it is steep and rocky. For older knees turning back toward Logan Pass May actually be easier although longer.

Great job on the video and info. The Highline is a special trail you should pursue if you love to hike. Next time in GNP i suggest the Ptarmigan Tunnel or Medicine Grizzly Lake. Looking forward to more.

Thank you for the video. The glaciers have been melting since the end of the little ice age in the mid-nineteenth century. A few decades ago the park put up signs stating that the glaciers would be gone just about now. Have they put up the new signs yet moving the goalposts further as the global warming scientists always do when their predictions don't pan out? Can anybody name one time where the scientists made a prediction based on the theory that ever came true? Just one? Examples of predictions (none of which came to pass) would be: winters becoming a thing of the past, the arctic ice cap disappearing, parts of Manhattan being underwater, the Platte River running dry, etc. All of these things were supposed to have happened by now.

@@robbarro4953 Is that the best you can do? Can you name one time when they got it right, just one? If a theory is made predicated on the theory and the experiment does not corroborate the theory, then the theory is falsified. You know, basic science 101? I will not be silenced. If you have something intelligent to utter I would be pleasantly surprised! I normally don't give advice because the wise don't need it and fools won't heed it but I am going to make an exception in your case out of charity. Question Authority! Do not blindly believe and fearlessly follow!

I remember when I was a kid being freaked out and begging my parents to move, because documentaries on global warming said that Florida would be completely underwater in a span of 10 years. That was maybe 7-10 years ago...and nothing has really changed. Not to say that this stuff isn't happening, but I think scientists are unreliable when it comes to pinning down an estimated time. Well, they will happen sooner or later.

lived near there for over 35 years (Whitefish, Somers) in my 35+ years of hiking climbing Glacier i put on well over 5000 trail miles, over 100 peak summits, dozens upon dozens of backcountry camping/fishing ventures, biking, x-country skiing and river rafting every year. moved away in 2021. too many people. way too many people. you need reservations just to drive in the park. the friendliness is gone, been eroding since 2000. rudeness. arrogance. inconsiderate. loud. miss it. but love the Andes for retirement tranquilo..........

Hello! My boyfriend and I are going to GNP in September and are interested in doing this trail. We've never hiked before but are both very active people. I was wondering if the trail is easy to follow? Since this is our first time I want to make sure we stay on course.

Nice cinematography, but it would be better if you were more.. like a real person would act and less speaking in a cadence of some national tv or news shows, which are dying because they are just that, impersonal. I know you spent a lot of time on this, but if you look at the biggest you tubers, they are all people who just act normal and speak like they would to anyone.

The ignorance of these two is astounding. Yeah, glaciers melt. That’s what they do when they retreat. Been happening for thousands of years. I live in the Great Lakes region, this was all under a glacier. To behave like this is something new is ridiculous. And those people that predicted they will be gone by 2030. Said 10 years ago that they would be gone by 2020...they had to take all the signs down 😂
