Hey gladiator disc golf! I’ve been subbed for a while and was wondering when you’ll drop any merch. I would definitely be interested in buying some, love the logo!

Hey Mario, I like and watch your channel, but as a physical therapist, I have to say you way overstated the value of these tools. There are many less expensive and more effective ways to manage muscle and joint problems.

Thanks for the support! I was speaking from experience when I stated the value of this product. I’ve tried less expensive ways to help my soreness, and nothing has come close to helping the way the wave tool helps. Also, it’s Antonio, not Mario. You mentioned other ways to manage muscle and joint problems. What are some other ways you would recommend? I would be willing to look into them!

@@GladiatorDiscGolf Thanks for your reply and interest. One of the areas you have soreness in appear to be the forearm muscles and their attachment site at or just above the elbow. This suggests problems similar to what are commonly called tennis and little league elbow. Like these conditions, soreness in these areas often respond to specific but simple stretching. So check out videos for those. For massage work your own fingers, thumb and hand could be even more effective then a tool. If a tool is truly wanted, than any straight edge would be fine. Think of all the utensils around the house: the back of a comb, a butter knife, etc. It doesn't have to couture the area to feel the same effect. But if you think about it, gliding over the area with a tool is really having the biggest effect on the skin. On the muscle - not so much. And the cups - same thing. Pressure massage using a ball would be better. Pressing the muscle into a hard golf or field hockey ball against a surface would do well. Then for persistent pain there are eccentric muscle exercises. If you want, we can get into that later.

@@artsmatter2 Yes, I've struggled with tennis elbow for years. It appears that no amount of stretching or warm-up is ever enough. Still trying to figure out the best routine with that.

@@GladiatorDiscGolf Tendonopathy, the common underlying problem with tennis elbow and many other painful conditions, can be difficult to treat, manage and cure. Eccentric muscle exercises focus on restoring tendon health by improving the microscopic structure of tendon fibers and creating a strong attachment to the bone. Eccentric exercise can be done with weights but I believe the Flexbar works better. Check out videos on the Flexbar Tyler twist. A researched exercise commonly used in PT for this problem.

Guessing that most of ur viewers are amatures. Pain at that level is form related. Fix that, listen to the body.
@GladiatorDiscGolf3 жыл бұрын
The pain can definitely be form related, but I’ve seen all types of pros talk about body maintenance across all kinds of sports. Pain and soreness is not always bad form. It can also be due to overuse.

@@GladiatorDiscGolf overuse is typically the indication of soreness as opposed to amateurs using improper form related to injury.
