Corey Ellis is one of my favorite disc golf pros to watch because his 3-step walkup is essentially the cross-step, and he also does a lot of standstill throws where a lot of pros would do an abbreviated walk-up. He was the farthest thrower on the entire Tour Down Under, and that's why he did so well. He would have less effort on a lot of throws than most of the pros there, and when he went full-effort he outdrove everyone, and was taking lines many couldn't.

I'm so deep in the YT rabbit hole of form coaching. Why is it that the "old heads" are so stubborn about using the back leg? Spin Doctor DG openly mocks people talking about using the back leg. As someone new to the sport, I understand that baseball is a much more mature and figured-out sport and I also see the correlation between a baseball swing and a disc golf backhand. It just doesn't make sense why the old guys are so defensive about their more primitive understand of the mechanics.
