An all-time classic! This was one of the first music videos to feature authentic "Breaking" - The New York City Breakers - and helped introduce B-boying aka Breakdancing to the world. A job well done by director Kenny Ortega. Props to my man Michael Holman (who managed the The New York City Breakers) and played a role in this seminal video as well. Honorable mention to my friend, the late, great, Carlos DeJesus whose popular 1980s show "New York Hot Tracks" is where I first saw this video.

Sherona Bromfield how is it, that gladys is so underrated in your words? she voted the 18th greatest female singer in in rock in roll, i feel gladys should be number 1 but aretha grabbed that spot, so im proud that still a sister own's that right😃 gladys has a star on the hollywood walk of fame, she along with the pips, are in the rock and roll hall of fame. in the guiness book of record breakers, she number 16 among the most sucessful female artist, she's the proud recipient of ten grammy's.3 with the pips and her collabarative work with other artist, such as, that's what friends are for, with her sister dionne warrick as they refer to each other which stayed number 1 for 8 weeks, and midnight train to georgia withth the pips , 1 3 weeks she has alng with the pips 11 american music awards, she along with the pips and on her own, several image awards, in the 70's she reached the status, of the 1 female vocalist in the world, because she was was just rolling out hits, and after she and the pips left motown, they were releasing albums by gladys and the pips with some awesome! songs," all i need is time" from the album title, " in between his goodbye and my hello. from the album " night time. from the akbum i feel asong in my heart" gladys' version of " the way we were" has been voted the best versuon over barbra striesand and was nominated for a grammy, but the racist in the music wouldn't. give it to gladys because they didn't. want insult striesand, hell, its been said striesand even said gladys' version was better than hers.Gladys is considered one of the greatest vocalist of all time, so how is it she's so underated.Oh she once had the number show in las vegas, she's done broadway stints and was sucessful etc. etc. gladys has been at the top since winning the ted mack amatuer hour at age 8
