I was 9 years old when the incident happened and I remember asking my dad “are we Christians not allowed to live in India”. It took a long time for me to accept his answer. Our family has faced persecution. A lot of our friends faced persecution. We haven’t had anyone killed yet. Glad I live in America now.

Wonderful interview and appreciate you being so respectful to Mrs. Staines and the memory of Graham and their two boys. You Mrs. Staines are an inspiration to us for your Christ-like love to forgive those who by man's account should be unforgivable. Your husband was a shinning example too of the love of Christ and what a testimony to the Indian continent that is so long been in bondage to castes and casting aside the downtrodden. May God be with you, your daughter and her family. Thank you for being interviewed and allowing the movie to be made. It was very inspiring. To Christ be the Glory!

But she gets closer every day to the time when she will go home to be with them forever in the presence of Almighty God…she is ultimately a winner in this situation, “more than an over-comer” and one who has overcome the world by the blood of the Lamb, the Word of her testimony and loving not her life unto death-even though she hasn’t died a martyr’s death, she has died to self in a million large and small ways (which is actually the reason we’re discussing her life at all!). Yes, this is a heartbreaking story…but this story has an incredible ending!!! And she’s not the only one that can or will enjoy life everlasting. Please look into Jesus and what He’s done for you, if you don’t already know Him. I hope you become a part of this great story as well.
@jantanatanthaisong53555 жыл бұрын
Jesus while on the Cross said "Father forgive them for they do not know what they do". By burning them alive India didn't gain anything but shame and sin. Instead Christianity had grown much bigger now. And God will judge accordingly.

Review of the film in the Indian press. One has to wonder whether the director was afraid to run foul of the government? : www.deccanchronicle.com/entertainment/movie-reviews/300319/the-least-of-these-movie-review-staines-film-digresses-from-political.html "Being based on an incident that is only 20 years old and has many pieces of evidence, one would have expected the film to be a chilling retelling of an account that shook the world. But instead, the film does not even refer to some accurate information for us to recall the incident that is still fresh in our memory. The film simply glosses over the fact that it was the Hindu fundamentalists who set fire to Staines and his sons, aged 10 and six, as they slept in their station wagon in a remote village in Odisha on January 23, 1999."

Obviously good people, but everyone needs to get over the idea that the only way to heaven and God is through their own religious belief. Be a good person, be loving, forgiveness. We're all just having a human experience on earth, all worthy of whatever version of heaven any of us can imagine.
@nica90011 ай бұрын
It's a heartwarming story, especially given it's timeliness - until it gets to the bit where only fundamentalist Christians are saved. For God's sake! If there's a LOVING GOD, then when we shuffle off this mortal coil, no one will be excluded from God or the equivalent white light all Love experience - because only a psychotic God would exclude you, and we know that is not the definition of GOD.
@madeleinejones397211 ай бұрын
It isn't God that sends people to hell. People choose that with their actions and not letting Gods love in their hearts ❤ and by not doing Gods will. Jesus died and suffered for each soul and with each bit of his flesh that fell to the ground He saw those souls who chose hell drop and this is what caused Him the most suffering 💔
@nica90011 ай бұрын
An all loving, all powerful, omnipotent God - essentially the definition of God - wouldn't include that in his creation in the first place, so not possible. Yes life on earth can be hellish sometimes, but no sane God would create eternal damnation. And I believe in an all powerful, all loving, omnipotent, sane God. So no hellfires where I'm going.@@madeleinejones3972
@nica90011 ай бұрын
@@madeleinejones3972 An all Loving, All powerful, Omnipotent God - which is how I see God - would not allow his creations to end up in eternal damnation, He wouldn't create such a thing in the first place. He certainly wouldn't exclude children born into other religions. It's just not a rational conception of what a beautiful Loving God would be.
