Wasted this video again, learned/internalized a couple of important things I'd not learned/heard the first time. To check moisture run fingers down shaft from root to end. This seems so obvious once I actually heard it and realized I was checking my ends and feeling frustrated that my hair always seemed too dry. Holy Jesus, I can love my hair now a little bit better now that I realize what I was doing wrong. .😊

I love watching videos from KNOWLEDGEABLE creators like yourself, manes by mell, and curly Chelle! You're all hairstylists, so that explains a lot! I'm SO tired of people demonizing cones! For me, personally, I love the heat protection from a bit of silicone in a leave in as well as the ease of detangling. I don't go overboard & I make sure my hair is properly hydrated first, & I'm good to go! If I use butter heavy products, or God forbid WAXES, that stuff sticks to my hair like cement & it's no bueno. But one or 2 products each way day containing one or 2 lightweight silicones? No sweat. Readily washes off, & I don't personally need a harsh sulfate to clarify either. C14 olefin sulfonate works just fine as a clarifier, especially with ingredients like citric acid &/or trisodium diethylene succinate to help remove mineral deposits. It's all about what works for YOU!

Giovanni shampoo and Conditioners can also be purchased at TJ Maxx or Marshalls too. Their regular line is great too. The 50/50 and Tea Tree Triple Treat shampoos are awesome at cleansing without stripping the hair. I also love Olaplex No 3 and Komaza Care Protein Strengthener. My fave deep conditioners are from Eden Bodyworks and Naturelle Grow used under the dryer. 😭😭😭 I can't wait till things reopen in NYC because I am long overdue for my seasonal trim due to the pandemic. Now look here! I bought and used that 2Chic shampoo, conditioner and serum aboit 2 weeks ago and ooooweeee!!! I had the best twist out ever! No extra butter, no oil, no LOC, no LCO, NOTHING! My hair was fluffy and just....nice 👌 Mind you, I'm not a twist out queen and I normally wear twists. I needed some more serum after about 3 days though, so I'm going to try the mask from the same line, to see if that helps me hold moisture longer. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Melisia Bowman my absolute pleasure dear! Moisture balance is an uphill fight with high porosity. Do you use anything as a sealant on your hair?
@melibow20034 жыл бұрын
@@GetGlamFam yes.....I use castor or jojoba oil via the LCO method. It looks great when wet. However, after it dries and I take down my twists or plaits- it looks good for about 30 to 60 minutes. Then it looks like all the moisture is sucked out and the cute style turns into a frizzy fro. I've just learned to do styles that don't require me to wear it out.

Linwood, I have one side in the back that is much shorter, tighter, and fragile than the other. It sucks when I go to have a trim because the stylists always cut it all to match that section and so I don’t get a bunch of length retention. It’s cool to see that I’m not alone with the lip sided curl looseness. Great video!!

Not to damage it and sell you extentions after. Magority of stylists don't know their job. Please right it down each step he said. It is seems easy, but no one will tell you that. It will help you to grow your hair with maximum volume till waist line. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Respect for your deep knowledge and share!

Hello... thank you for the information you share, even the overload videos. I do wish that you would put in the information down below the FREE DOWNLOAD HAIR CARE GUIDE. I see playlists and specific aspects of hair videos but no link to the Free Hair Care Guide. Please help this girl out and list it as you advertise it. Already love the videos but a concise guide would be helpful. Also, I saw the concept of porosity addressed with the palm of the hand toward the audience and spreading fingers apart or holding them together. Simple and very clear on how getting moisture and protein into and keeping it in works. High porosity wide spread fingers really demonstrate how it is easy to lose what you need from your hair, and with low porosity how difficult it might be to get what you need in your hair into your hair. To quote you: "I hope that makes sense." Smiling- I do a lot of that with your videos which really ups the appreciation of your presentations. Thank you for the work you put into your videos for us, much appreciated. Personally I think most of us need a little more glam in our lives. QUESTION for you. What DIY home products treatments are you ok with?

You are look amazing!!!!! I was wondering can you tell me how to grow my hair? 😆😆😆😆😆😆 (I’m not spamming - I’ve commented on your other videos to get your attention)♥️♥️♥️ My hair has been 1/2 inch long for the past 7 years. I just restarted taking care of my hair again. I wash it 1x/week, then oil it with peppermint essential oil, lavender essential oil, ylang essential oil and now grapeseed oil. I wear a bonnet each time I’m in bed. This has helped the excessive-shedding of my hair. And has made my hair “look” healthy. But my hair does not grow. It’s been 1 month of me doing this. It hasn’t grown, at all!!!!!🥶 Even those months when I would routinely care for my hair: my hair would grow, at most, 1.5 inch (stretched). Then I’ll give up and shave my head- thinking that would help.. 🤣 I want to add micro-links-hair-extensions: as my hair grows. But I don’t have enough hair to do anything! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏Please Help!❤️ I’m tired of lace wigs and I hate that glue on my forehead ☹️😞☹️☹️🤪

Does hair benefit from good shampoo throughout the week if it's being washed once ever 5-7 days, or the benefits are only at the time of the washing❓ I think I have between 2b-2c so my hair tells me what it's gonna do and I feel it's pretty fine. Trying to grow it out past my shoulders, if I go out and there's any degree of wind my hair blows around like crazy❗ In case this matters I'm a white guy🤷

I've tried so many drug store products and my hair took so much effort and never went past a certain length. I felt like I was doing everything right and still seeing progress. I have type 4, low porosity fine hair. My long time hair dresser recommended I switch exclusively to salon style products a year ago. I also started getting my trims every 6wks instead of every 3 months. My curls have never looked better and I've retained about 5 inches. I mostly use Morrocanoil and Aveda products. I also find if you buy the bigger bottles you end up saving money in the long run. I've been using the same shampoo and deep conditioner bottles since Nov.
