Please note folks that I forgot to add that GlamNess Containers are also ADULTS ONLY. So as well as no dogs, it's no kids either. But if you are child-free and dog-free, it's certainly a place worth considering. Link is in the description. That’s actually quite wonderful! As to unable to shave 🪒 in that small basin, hogwash! 🤣 I had to shave for years in a very full household using a coffee cup 3/4 full of hot water and a mirror in my room, and also when camping. That small basin is luxury! LOL! Great video bud!

It’s a bugbear on mine in some caravans, that’s what Andrew was referring to. Daft salad bowl sinks that you’d struggle to rinse off your face in. Yes you’d made do. It couldn’t afford to be much bigger in this as space is at a premium.

I like the cabin. I could stay there a week if there are a lot of places to walk in the area. When you mentioned it was so quiet, not a sound except for.....I wanted to say, the man snoring next door. 😂 ilona

I understand the booking system seems slightly unfair but it stops the people that book multiple places and cancel at the last minute. That’s unfair on the venue and during the last 2 years that problem has had an impact on restaurants, hotels and various other hospitality venues. You either want it or you don’t. Great value though and I would stay there for sure. Thanks for another great video 😄

I get that. But I often pay a higher rate for the luxury of being able to cancel. As it happens, I did lose my December booking because my plans radically changed in a totally unforeseen way. I could have given two weeks notice...

Whoa, did anyone else feel like we had suddenly switched to a photo-realistic horror game when he headed to the Rob Roy cabin? It was suddenly not just dark but DAAAAARK, walking on empty pathways, sprinkled w/ leaves and dotted w/ glowing lights that don't really give light? Then, we walk to a dark area where the cabins are, each exactly like the other, but the only one that doesn't light up is OURS. We can't see our reflection, we're just a faint figure w/ a flashlight. The door lock is a 10-digit puzzle and we briefly check our cell-phone UI from the left side, where it rolls smoothly in and out just fast enough to check the code... LOL, I was waiting for the jump scare, man!

I think the interior designer should have looked at some 20-foot caravans & narrowboats before converting the containers. I'm sure that there are better layouts. That said it looks like a good idea.

I think they look great but they have to get the price right. £120 a night in high season is overpriced when you can get a beachfront 6 berth static just along the Moray coast for less (based on a 7 night stay). Shame I don't still have my Joe 90 attache case - would have come in handy for your undercover ops.

That had some great fun bits Andrew, particularly the attempt at incognito, in sun glasses, in Scotland, in November and the "Bell wet shave facilities index" think the CaMHC should rename that judging criteria ;-) Might you he's also particular about uniform curtain pleats so how to differentiate the 2 different Bell indices of excellence... I'd definitely chose a place like that in preference to many hotels, even the really good hotels I've stayed in have noisy banging doors and are far too peopley! I am a member of Dougals public Andrew and frankly just seeing him lay there content resting next to you is enough - its his role. Not sure about Glamness to be honest I suppose ok for a night or two overnighting whilst on a touring trip but not practical enough for a longer stay

Interesting concept. But I wouldnt want to use it if on a wedding visit - could never hang clothes over the loo. Needs a hook on the wall. Also hubby likes to leave a light on to avoid a trip if up in the night, so that's not good. Manoeuvring around could be difficult if you were disabled - is there a shower seat available from their stock if needed? Yes agree kitchen needs a bit of modification. Drawer too low as is the microwave.

Hmm... I really do not think that this particular cabin would be of any use to people with certain abilities... maybe they have an adapted cabin? If not, that's another idea for them!

I think they missed an opportunity to have some quirky small space design and bathroom should have been a wet room but for £31 I've paid more for far worse. I assume the rather strict rules have come about due to abuse by previous customers.

You seemed to hardly be able to ‘contain’ your enthusiasm. When we travel and pay a high price for accommodations, and then spend precious little time in those accommodations, it doesn’t seem economical. This place makes sense, for frugality. The backwards refrigerator door and the lack of a place to wet shave might be acceptable but the tight walkway might be off putting. It was a thorough and wonderful review but when you asked for a thumbs up and the star of the show was missing, I had to hesitate a bit before acquiescing. However, the two ‘haloos’ tipped the scale to yes.

Yes, the star of the show did have a cameo with a chance to show his lack of enthusiasm for your trip without him. Likewise, the man in the mirror had a cameo appearance or two to entertain us. Those were nice.

I highly doubted that THE ONE AND ONLY Andrew J. Ditton could really do an undercover holiday, but as I saw you sneak in the area in the dark - ok then that's possible ;- ). To be honest I don't think the designer of the container used it him-/herself even once. Otherwise they should have noticed things like the door of the fridge. Hopefully they'll watch your video and reconsider. Yes, it's "only" £31, but it also just a container in a rural area.

Interesting accomodations, they can't keep it so clean if dogs are allowed, not all dogs are as acceptable as Dougle and owners don't always scoop the poop outside, awful land mines left for others to step in. They should advertise for skinny people only !!LOL. Hope you don't loose you booking.

Good unbiased review, looked comfy, agree with all your comments, however that outside light could have failed that day. Scrupulously clean, however one damp labrador could cause havoc in one of those units. If the business model works, I am with the owner. Regards AJ

They are probably not dog friendly because there are those people who cannot be relied upon to be responsible for their dogs such as keeping them off of the furniture, on a leash at all times, or picking up their poop. It keeps those who are responsible for their pets from using the containers, but I can't blame the establishment for their stance.

Didn't see this video either. I will just check your channel out once week anyway! Shocked at the low viewing numbers! I don't like the look of that shipping container glamping site. The size of the sink would make it difficult for me to put in my type of contact lenses - let alone wash my face. They don't want dogs and kids imo because they think they will make more mess. This 'adults only ' is really becoming a thing in hospitality I have noticed. It results in rowdy parties though, some of which wreck the places. Soulless money grabbers hoping for a quick and easy win ( rather than providing a service which includes families) are finding themselves with huge repair bills here in Cornwall.

Had to re-do this as it caused a stir! Wasn't meant to be political! These containers are very versatile! Tiny homes and annexes too & they don't take up much space either. Great vlog Andrew as per!! It's funny how they save energy on an 8W LED lamp, but provide electric heating which must use at least 2-3kW. It looks a good hotel alternative: but to travel all that way to stay in a shipping container.... well, it's not really one of my life goals LOL.

Not impressed one bit. Some homeless accommodation are higher spec, as are some prison cells. No kids aswell, that tells me all I need to know about such a place. Then there's the self cleaning protocol. I'd rather pay a extra 20 quid for a budget hotel room I think. I went to a adult only resort once, it lacked soul, it lacked diversity and it contained the exact sort of people I would normally avoid - middle class, social chameleon Cocaine sniffers.
