It’s a great guitar, just got mine 4 days ago. Been devoting all my time to breaking it in, adjusting neck, saddle and whatnot. It really is a great guitar after you adjust it to where you like it. Only issue I have is the pinch harmonics. They are hard to pull off on this guitar. I would honestly change out the back pickups and maybe better single coils. But overall great guitar.

I had the same reaction when I got mine. Over time balancing it the guitar improved. I love mine 2 years later.

It also comes in white, and I got me the white one. Looks nice, but needs fret work done on it. Has 4 high frets. I got it, because I wanted a white guitar and I don't have expensive tastes. Sounds good. 24 frets. Good for high neck tapping (when I get all the frets level). And I am impressed with the pickups for a 100 dollar guitar. Mainly needs fret work done to it. And it has good intonation. And using something like Tune-it on the nut and bridge should help it stay in tune. And I agree with you that it takes getting used to the guitar.

Don't buy this unless you have some time and know how to work and setup guitars.It won't stay in tune until you replace strings,replace the nut,tighten all hardware and foam the tremel springs and block the trem,it works wonders,I didn't even replace the cheap tuners.Now I have a lightwieght,fast neck,cool looking,not terrible sounding Chinese piece of wood and metal that's easy and fun to play rock and roll screaming machine,ugh,ugh,ugh,more power Al!

Glarry's Strats and Teles are better for beginners. But, you definitely have to have a tech go through it in order to make it playable for a beginner. The best out-of-the-box experiences for beginners, in my opinion, are Yamaha Pacifica, Squier Bullet or Affinity, Jackson Dinky, and Ibanez GIO guitars. You can get them for around $200 each. Not a big risk for a beginner. Throw on a simple $100-$150 practice amp and it's the perfect beginner/learner/student outfit.

I would agree. I thought I would give Glarry a try so I could see if it was any good. It's O.K. if you can work on it yourself or if you know someone who can help you.

The Jackson Dinky series are phenomenal guitars for the price, I own one and I wouldn't label them with the rest. You can easily gig with one, and that's not just my opinion but my friends' who have been playing longer than myself say the same. The Squiers on the other hand, yeah aside from the neck/fretboard work which is great, the pickups fall a bit short....well a good bit short.

All guitars need setting up. Even 1,000 dollar ones. I've got three Glarry's and all needed fretwork and setting up. No big deal. All part of making a guitar personal to you.

Right on man. I've got this one set up pretty good now.

Great review Joe. That's actually a nice looking guitar. Too bad it wasn't made better but for 100 dollars probably not bad. Rock On!

I'll get it playing good, it'll just take a little work. It does look good though, Thanks and keep rockin'.

Just got that Identicle model. Neck relief needed a slight adjustment and a couple frets needed light touch up on the crown but fret ends are rounded well and mostly clean. It sounds great but I admit it's about to get new electronics and hardware. Nothing over the top but a couple steps up none the less. I love the size and body. Fit and finish are great.
@JoeHopkinsmusic3 жыл бұрын
That sounds about like mine. A few minor adjustments and you have a nice guitar.

Yea for beginner like me.I would go with this since we beginners don’t know about adjusting and don’t kno what trust rod or any of that.your a pro already so you know what YOUR lookin for in YOUR SETTINGS from what I hear tho it sounds great for a starter

I was jus about to order this after seeing nothin good review vids on it but then seen yours and the first thing u get to is you wouldn’t recommend it.but the thing is all that other tech stuff a newbie will have to learn anyway
@JoeHopkinsmusic3 жыл бұрын
@@SHEAFYD The tech stuff is actually pretty easy. KZbin has plenty of videos on how to adjust everything on your guitar and your right, it's all stuff that's good to learn anyway. You might as well learn on a cheap guitar like this one. Rock on dude!

It sounds pretty good through your amp, nice playing. I like the crunch sound pretty good for stock pickups. Looks like they are kinda weak on the harmonics though. Heck the guitar is only $70 on ebay for the unlabeled version. This guitar is shorter than most full size guitars, could make it a good one to take on the road, travelling, etc. With the amp; if you use a pedal of some type it really is fine, on it's own the tone is nothing fabulous.On clean or slightly overdriven it might be alright. For metal, classic rock we need a pedal.
@JoeHopkinsmusic3 жыл бұрын
Your right about the tone but changing pickups should be pretty easy and as cheap as the guitar is it would make a good project axe. Thanks and keep rockin' dude.

I just got one of these in red off Amazon for 88 bucks free shipping with the Donner M10 amp. Because the amps that come in kits suck.My guitar doesn't have the Glarry logo on headstock I'm supposed to get it next week.
