Welcome to Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Lapland, Finland! This is a bonus upload for you guys, from my old trip to Scandinavia back in February 2020.
Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort was established over 50 years ago. The property is widely regarded as one of the top resorts in the region and their glass igloo accommodations are world-famous according to the resort's website and Instagram.
Do the glass igloos live up to the hype?
The resort has over 200 different rooms and the resort is spread out over this vast complex split into two separate villages. The sheer size of this entire operation is very impressive.
I got the opportunity to stay in three different types of accommodation at the resort over the course of three back to back nights- a glass igloo, a kelo glass igloo, and a log cabin. Get ready for some crazy room tours and fun activities in winter wonderland.

We've been to Kakslauttanen twice a few years ago. 2017 and 2018. First trip was in October 2017. Although the Northern Lights could be seen during this month, we had gone during the Laplands first snow storm of the year and didn't get to see the Northern Lights so we decided to head back in March 2018 and were fortunate to see the Northern Lights every night we stayed at the resort. Definitely an amazing experience; hence why I'm watching YT videos on the resort right now lmfao. Kelo Glass Igloo is the way to go. A bit more pricey but worth it. Back when we went they didn't have the Aurora alarm or WiFi in the rooms; was definitely a bit more tricky as we had to stay up all night and even walk around the resort to be able to find the Northern Lights. Liked the Kelo Glass Igloo the best. Best of both accommodations. The glass igloo tower was also really cool and different! Great to see you release this video as you were there a while ago.
