Been using the Skypad 3.0 for the past 2 weeks and I love it. The biggest challenge is to unlearn all the compensatory mechanisms you learned while using other pads. Basically any error you make is your own fault. So you have to learn to stay calm and slow down a little. All your movements have to be done with precision. The upside is that the pad never betrays you. What you want to do is what you do given your technical skill is high enough. On a sidenote, I've never had an issue using the pad without a sleeve, but I do keep my room cool and I have a fan blowing directly on me at all times. I feel like moisture / sweat / humidity is the culprit here.

I bought the Skypad in January switching from a Glorious XL pad. it took some time of getting used to, but it's definitely one of the best decisions I've made. The "dirt" on it can get really annoying, and I feel you on that. After the 2 months of using it, flicks finally got more precise too but still does not compare to a clothpad where you can stop the movement by applying pressure with your wrist onto it. Also, there is not that much difference between a new Hein and a Skypad when it come to stopping power but the fact that I mentioned before, applying pressure, does not make it feel that way.
@elog3612 жыл бұрын
Depending on the mouse grip you use is it possible to consider using your fingers itself for stopping power. I’m using the skypad for like 8 months now and I feel like the benefits are just too good to ignore the disadvantages. Especially with more experience with the pad is it possible to find workarounds for the problems 😄

been using a skypad 3.0 for like 3 months or so now and im never going back to cloth pads. the pros outweigh the cons for me personally, i have no issue wearing a sleeve because i did that on cloth pads anyways, the cleaning is done in like 10 secs using regular window cleaner and a paper towel and i change mice/skates frequently anyways. hard pads are insanely consistent, easy to clean and basically have infinite durability which is exactly what im looking for in a mousepad. there are also other companies doing glass pads, some even with a ceramic coating for a little more control compared to regular glass pads.
