It's is about how many miles that you can drive in, thus the battery could take long road trip and what happen when is malfunctioning... And you can drive miles and miles away... 😊😊

Yes if I was doing the trip in 20 days, it would probably be much easier but I am limited on time. I think that’s where the difficulties going to be. I have 11 days to try and do a round-trip. But if I had longer or I can let the battery cool down throughout the trip, would be much easier, but I’m gonna give it a go

Where are you based out of in Florida? I am trying to find a heavy traffic Leaf charging station to test some of my charging innovations. Jacksonville has been my top target.

Yeah, I don’t put a wet towel on there. I’m trying to keep my C.C.S. adapter dry because it rains every day here I was not using a wet towel to try and keep the connection cool I was just trying to keep the adapter dry.

One would think/hope that Nissan would help us Leaf owners. After all, it’s not our fault that CHADeMO is changing out to CCS. If they don’t do anything soon to support the thousands of Leaf owners, I will NEVER purchase a Nissan car again. They are leaving us out in the cold, so to speak. At least give us something towards a converter. Well, it’s typical in the corporate world today. It’s all governed by greed with maximum profits as their motivating force. Anyway, I’m concerned about your venture across the country if CHADeMO stations are being replaced. I have little faith in anything that’s manufactured today, and that includes your converter. If that goes tits up during your trip, then what? Your screwed, blued, and tattooed as the saying years ago went. You might want to let the guy who gave it to you know about your plans so that he can ship you out one in the event it stops working. I wish you the best and hope that converter doesn’t turn into a brick.

He is actually in the United States at the moment. He just flew in from Germany. He is testing in California for the next couple of days. They do know I am attempting this trip. I am bringing my computer with me for software updates to the unit if necessary I am taking as many precautions as I can including the time of year I’m going to be doing it which is November it should be a little bit cooler out. I am going to the hardware store to get a electric leaf Blower, to blow cooler underneath the car as I’m charging hopefully keeping the pack a little bit cooler I don’t know if that’s gonna work someone and I’m also going to be mostly driving in the evening and letting the car charge on AC during the daytime while I’m sleeping, I’m doing everything I can to make it as painless as possible, but I do understand that things can happen I am keeping my fingers crossed

Where in the leaf do you sleep ?

@@3kkk2 I’m going to try and get a hotel room one or two nights throughout the trip, but most of the time I think I’m going to put a couple pillows where the back seats fall down and have that 4 inch or so lift to kind of level at a little bit and just put a sleeping bag down
