To be born in '70, and teenage into the 80's and young adult into the 90's, couldn't have asked for a better time. I feel truly blessed and grateful for this time. The music from these generations was pure talents.

the word so sad to see all talent gone from holybrewed is dead....as profits and fakeness took over talent, real-art, and that's why no good looking personalities, I miss real handsome actors and actresses that looked way above average you know sylver stallone in his prime so god damn good looking to man you know...2Pac, MJ was the last real great talent or musician, Guns and Roses, Megadeath, Bon Jovi, SNAP, like why did the elite or Jews or whoever own the media industry in US gave so much pain to people all aver the world why...:(

For those of us living as kids in the 80’s, we lived through the best music era in our lifetimes and we didn’t even know it. We just enjoyed life as simple as it was, yet so complicated at the time it seemed. No social media. Listening to the radio. Getting together with friends in real life. Passing notes to each other in school. Talking for hours on the phone to friends, our boyfriends / girlfriends and ignoring call waiting. Life was so good! ❤️❤️❤️

i also grew up in the 1980s, and i am of the opinion personally, that the 1980's were the most artistically redeeming (or at least one of the most) in the last 100 years. With only the 70's close behind. Yeah both decades had their music fads, cliches, and corny songs, but those were FAR outweighed by the good, substantial stuff.

Graduated high school in 1985, smack in the middle of the 1980's, the best decade of music and overall quality of life. Politics back then wasn't the stupid clown show it is today. Both sides still at least had a mutual respect for the constitution and people weren't as easily offended about the slightest quip. The trend of optimistic music, where more songs had major chords than minor chords, personified the positive atmosphere of the times. It was awesome!

Here's a prime example of the 80's and today. In the 80's I used to ride my skateboard around my middle school whenever I wanted to when school was out. In the summer I would see a couple of teachers and we would wave to each other and sometimes talk. Most doors were not locked. Went by the other day and there were locked gates, doors, a security guard and signs saying if you don't have a pass then you are trespassing ! It is sad that this is what society has come to, I miss the good ol' days of the 80's !!!!!
@muffs55mercury614 ай бұрын
Really ! I remember we used to go to the school on weekends or after hours and one would take a basketball or football and we'd play. That same school has been locked with a large iron bar gate for about 20 years now.
@myyoutubelikes3 ай бұрын
It's partly because we used to "trespass" and skateboard, play footy, ride our BMXes across surfaces, that they went to locking and banning. Most of us did no damage, but a minority that we always saw and ignored, did graffiti, climb roofs, break windows and assorted young criminal shit. Over time, the insurance got too much for many schools, so they gated up. And of course, as a certain - highly troublesome - demographic expanded, even that kind of security wasn't enough.
@Baldor. Жыл бұрын

Absolutely!!! ❤️❤️❤️

It was tougher growing up back in the 80's, back then we had to use telephone booths & coin operated pay phones, NO cell phones, NO texting. Kids today don't even know how easy they have it now. Today pay phone booths don't even exist anymore when there are now 10 yr old kids with their own cell phones.

Cellphones have been popular (for kids/teens I mean) since the early 2000s and I seem to recall that's when phonebooths started gradually.getting removed from parking lots and streets. Now if you do see a working one its like a fucking UFO, lol

Susan Ryan Try being stuck in the middle of nowhere back in the 70s and 80s without a car or a broken down one, and without any spare change in your pocket.
@OVI-Wan-Kenobi-87 жыл бұрын
Susan Ryan Car phones were pretty expensive back in the early 90s, even during the mid-90s. A lot of people couldn't afford one. Mobile telecom technology didn't start getting affordable until the late 90s.

When I come home you telephone To say you're waiting for me I ask you why I hear you cry But you're still waiting for me Someday, you'll be shedding your tears To cry over me Someday, I'll be losing this fear Now I'm alone you telephone To tell me you don't need me I ask you why you tell me lies And say the truth would hurt me, ohhh Someday, you'll be shedding your tears To cry over me (to cry over me) Someday, I'll be losing this fear Oh, oh, someday Down in the street where lovers meet That's where I'm waiting for you In the streets where lovers meet I'm still waiting for you. ohhh Someday, you'll be shedding your tears And then you'll cry over me (cry over me) Someday, I'll be losing this fear Ohh, someday you'll be shedding your tears And then you'll cry over me (cry over me) Someday, I'll be losing this fear Ooohh...

Each day we move away from the 80's the greater its hits become... Something told me to take a chance on this recommendation...something told me I'd remember it and yuppers its just another of those MANY obscure 80's pop gems. The "out of boxed-ness" of 80's pop is mindblowing...lets be honest.
