Where do I find those stands you have to hold up the windshield?
@glasweldАй бұрын
Hi there, we get them made locally here in Oregon!

does anyone know that this repair holds up when it is below zero in winter like Minnesota? when there are a lot of Contraction and expansion?
@glasweld26 күн бұрын
As long as the repair was done correctly and cured and hardened with UV light, it's good to go and will hold up under below-zero cold temperatures. If we can help further feel free to give us a call at (541) 388-1156 or email us at sales@glasweld.com.

@@glasweld Welcome, I also am curious: since you upgraded the Procur+ lamp, would an upgraded ( more intense ) version of the UV headlight cure lamp be in the works? The current fluorescent lamp takes a long time to set a good cure, a higher intensity one with mabe led's would be the cat's meow for shorter duration of cure time..
@glasweld Жыл бұрын
@@papasquirrel5559 Thanks for your feedback. We are offering only the ProCur line of curing lights and our Headlight Curing Lamp for now, but you never know what we might be working on.

Hi, i tried to make a chip on windcreen while using glass weld tool for repairing practice but when i used little ball with rubber band to make chip the whole windshield was broken into the pieces? What could be reason did i use more power or there is any other reason? Thanks
@glasweld9 ай бұрын
Hello there. If the windshield was compromised in any way to begin with, and to much force was used with the bulls eye maker this could happen. Try using light force with the bulls eye maker and increase gradually as needed. If we can help further feel free to reach out to us at sales@glasweld.com.

This particular video is designed as more of a training video to break down the windshield repair process for new techs. We do have other videos that show a closer view of a repair. Here's one you might enjoy: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqjIn6V4jJmJkKc. We can also set you up with a live demo If you're interested. Feel free to reach out to us at sales@glasweld.com and we'll be happy to help.

The product works very well compared to the bridge system I used to use. The thing they always fail to mention in the demos is that not all rock chips fill as easily as what they portray. There is no resources in troubleshooting those chips that are 2 years old, full of dirt. There is no acknowledgement that even if you do the job as best as can be done, the results aren’t always going to be as good as you and the customer are hoping for. But this system is the best one I’ve tried so far. It’s far from perfect, there is a lot of skill and condition of the chip still in play, but it will fill every shop created bullseye to near perfection.

@@jhuehn31 Thank you for the feedback. You're correct that every repair is unique and skill is certainly developed with time and practice. This particular training video is designed to provide someone with the basic techniques for windshield repair, however we do have other videos that share more advanced techniques. @@glasweld we paid you over 1000$ for the kit, there’s no way we’re giving you 200$ more to learn how to use it lol. We’ll be sending you money for resin, but that’s about it. The machine is great, and I’m pretty happy using it but I’m near certain there isn’t anything in your video that isn’t already known.
