Glaube Feitosa • Kyokushin Kickboxer

Brazilian kickboxer who practiced Kyokushin full contact karate.
Champion of the 2005 K-1 World Grand Prix in Las Vegas.
At the end of his career, the Brazilian loomed a not very enviable record of wins and losses 17-17, but there was also a glorious segment of victories.
Glaube was remembered for its peculiar performance of the "highkick". By knocking out many of his rivals in this way. Subsequently, this blow was called - "Brazilian kick"("question mark kick").
During his 12-year career, he entered the ring with the best K-1 fighters: Mike Bernardo, Masaaki Satake, Andy Hug, Mirko Cro Cop, Ernesto Hoost, Peter Aerts, Mike McDonald, Alistair Overeem, Semmy Schilt, Badr Hari, Remy Bonjasky and others. ...
The peak of his career for Feitoza came in 2005 when he became the champion of the Las Vegas Grand Prix. In the same year, he became a K-1 finalist. In the quarterfinals, Glaube defeated Gary Goodridge by decision, knocked out the Japanese Musashi in the semifinals, and lost to Semmy Schilt in the final. Feitosa won little, but all his fights were very spectacular, largely due to his famous kick.

Trenowałem kyokushin,mistrz Oyama 10 dan był mi inspiracją. Dużo również walk ulicznych stoczyłem, naprawdę ten sport uczy hart ducha. Ulica nie była mi straszna. Treningi mega wyczerpujące,krwawe bez osłony.Dziekuje😊

Pretty much yes although it is hard to pinpoint exactly where something like this originates from it became popular thanks to Feitosa and Filho using it in kyokushin tournaments

Many martial arts have similar moves. I believe that Taekwondo, as it has the greatest variety of kicks, may have originated this one, but Feitosa was the one who applied it best in Karate Kyokushin and Full Contact (kickboxing). Here in Brazil we call it the Brazilian Kick, because of him and Shihan Francisco Filho.
