I've always liked a C Major triad with the F in the bass. I've always gravitated to that sound.

I play by ear and I know some very advanced musicians with no music education whatsoever and that play purely by ear. I've been playing like this for some years now and what i found was that playing basic and advanced chords with a different key in the left hand( I play the bass on one hand and piano + pad/strings on the right) made it sound much more detailed and jazzy; and for some songs basic chords are just not enough, especially if you play by ear. wow, this guy has some real talent
