Why have a groove in the sash ? What is the benefit of that over just another rabbet ? Would the glass pane be a bit oversized then to fit in the groove ? Or no ? Thank you by the way for the lesson in glazing. I have glazed windows a few times without ever understanding what the proper way to do it was.

Awesome idea on the mail order sashes Steve 👍🏻. But boy you’re practically giving them away! Super cheap! And we’re talking accoya ! Which is up there in cost with teak!! Would you mind saying how much a 4x2 is a m3 in USA ?

@@WoodWindowMakeover sorry Steve I’ve visited your beautiful country a couple of times ( few beers in Rosie OGrady’s👍🏻😂). Lost in translation, when we buy timber ( and to get a decent price! ) it’s by the ‘pack’ and that pack is sold by the Cubic meter ( m3). Do you guys call it ‘board feet’ or something? I’ve just ordered 1.6 m3 ( 708 board feet?!?) of thermally modified hemlock 👍🏻. Giving that a go, sounds amazing ( similar to accoya ) cedar is insane! Hard to get quality! Last order they wanted $23 usd a ‘board foot’
