Thank you. I just got some feedback through a workplace questionnaire and it unexpectedly hurt my feelings. I did a random KZbin search among with prayer and came across this message. I was fighting down tears and really struggling to appear "strong"...I decided to go into our yoga room and get quiet with my thoughts. I listened to your message and I believe it will help me have the strength to have this review conversation in 30 minutes. Thank you for the tools and tips.

I'm facing that "sh@t" a lot. I've received one negative feedback abou the way I give my classes and then I got so down. Feeling so insulted. I know that I'm a completely anxious person and I charge myself a lot. When I get feedbacks about my work, if negative, I get so so down, I hate feeling that way. I should watch this video over and over again to notice how important those feedbacks are for myself. Thank you for your words.

Thanks for your advice. I received some negative feedback from my manager yesterday and have been struggling to keep it from bringing me down. Last year I received a promotion and a sizable pay raise, but then was immediately transferred to a new team that works very differently. I've had a hard time adjusting to the new pace of work, and I've let a few things slide. I like what you said about not identifying myself with my mistakes, and I'm hoping to separate my emotions from it so I can implement the plans I've put into place to better myself.

Kyle, I like the fact you acknowledge your emotions are getting in the way. Brilliant! You are right. Fixing what's going on out there won't fix what's going within us. Real change happens inside out. Find out why you are being triggered. That's what emotional intelligence is all about. Understand your emotions. The reality is, once you change the story you are telling yourself about the situation, the very situation instantly changes. Hope that makes sense.

I had a coworker that was in charge of a class when I was absent. When I returned, she informed me of the correct way to do something. I was so grateful! It was my first time teaching that grade and I was open to learn.

That's very wise. We are perpetual students. That's when the ego is not in the way. Thanks for your comment.

Here's some feedback: thank you for making this video, it really helped me today, I needed to hear this. 😊 today I received some negative, harsh feedback... your video is a reminder that we're human beings, that we're sensitive, and that feedback can hurt sometimes. But also a reminder that we're not our mistakes !!! Personally I want to get to the next level, professionally and personally. So I will try to be more compassionate with myself and ask for feedback as well :) if it's useful great, if not I'll try to toss it as you say. Thanks.

I'm exactly like that and I needed to see this but my manager is also trying to pressuring me a lot but I will go through it and not respond and will learn what I need to learn from this moment.even if I work very hard.
