Glen's band is brilliant. The music gets tighter and stronger with each new effort. Glen's singing cuts through the noise and straight into my heart! I first heard "SONG OF GOOD HOPE" just before my wife was diagnosed with cancer. That song kept me going. It's almost eerie how his new material seems to express the many things that I could never figure out how to talk about, myself. "HER MERCY" has brought tears to my eyes more times that I should admit. "PAYING MY WAY" is a quiet anthem for all of us who are doing just that! Right on, Mr Hansard!!!

I heard in an interview that Glen Hansard was writing about his father and the song wasn't ready because it didn't feel right, even to his father's spirit. He's still trying to find the right words to make the song mean something important for him.

+Angie Torres The new record Didn't He Ramble is great on wax. I listen so much on vinyl I own two copies. I also find myself listening to his EP Drive All Night on vinyl a lot. Especially when friends are over or I'm having a drink. Both are great records!
