This was a great moment for the crowd at Waca seeing Glenn again on the pitch years after retirement. That's why the crowd was cheering and was joyous to see him bowl again. Such poetry in motion mixed with two decades of emotions. Somethings are evergreen and eternal.

Absolute masterclass of bowling. Absolutely spot on tips about how to increase pace and also bowl a clean line and length. That's why Glenn McGrath is my absolute favourite. Simple, deadly and accurate.

Line and length master. Youngsters have to look at Glenn's bowling carefully and learn from it. What a bowler he was 👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌

When I was very young I never understood the hype. I was all about the Brett Lee’s, Akhtar, Bond etc.. proper fast pace bowling but when I got a bit older I FULLY UNDERSTOOD!! 😐😐 Hazlewood reminds me of him.

Best bowler we have seen in cricket history. Amazing to see Glen bowling outside off stump and batsmen appear like pecking duck ;-)
@alithestar20007 жыл бұрын
He is the real winner and best winner i have seen in any sort of sports. I believe it was not Steve Waugh's captaincy or Australian team. I believe it was Glenn McGrath who won them all. Absolutely Optimal output from a sportsman of any sort and most attractive. very very accurate and mostly restricting every batsman. i have not got the words to describe myself. but the best performer ever in the history. yes true Wasim Akram had more knowledge what a ball does and how it does. Yes he knew little as compared to wasim but the sort of performer he was, there is not a batsman or bowler like him who has performed like that. simply amzing
@abhinandhanraghu34477 жыл бұрын
Qasim Ali lol. mcrgath was a joke. he was probably greatest slow medium bowler ever. it is an insult to Holding, Lille, Thompson, Roberts to call Mcrgath a fast bowler. Viv Richards would have smashed him into bits.
@alithestar20007 жыл бұрын
I can bet he can restrict every batsman and was better effective than those you mentioned.

You don't know anything about cricket do you Raghu? Bloody dropkick
@raman2877 жыл бұрын
abhinandhan raghu that is class. after all the bowlers you mentioned found success as they had lethal pace. McGrath even being a medium fast seam bowler found success. it is very difficult for a medium fast bowler to find success unlike a fast bowler
@singhajs7 жыл бұрын
McGrath slow medium? Kiddo, ask Thorp, Nasser Hussain , Alec Strewart and their stitches...till 2002 he was around 140 average. Cut his pace because they had super quickies like Lee and Gillespie..

Ambrose,Waqar,Walsh,Wasim,Donald,Bishop,Schultz,Malcolm, Gough ,Patterson,McDermott ,Benjamin defined quick bowling at the time.Mcgrath sort of quietly slipped in and suddenly took over from these guys after that 95 Windies trip. He just didn't look the part,a tall,skinny medium paced line and length guy seam bowler essentially. Sure he was respected initially but not feared.How that all changed and what a class paceman he became. Justifiably in the top 20 best pacemen of the last 40 years and the 2nd best Aussie pace bowler since Lillee who was just tremendous.

This is only an indication of the higher number of Australian Cricketers who receive training in the Australian cricket system. They are trained to do things a certain way, that is known to work. I guess in other parts of the world people spend less time under coaches and therefore develop their own style. But it must be admitted that Australia's system has performed well compared to most others over the past generation.
@gerardmeade-os3pg Жыл бұрын
My dear friends, I have stated this repeatedly before. Why was that overseas coach removed after we beat England 3 to 1 even after a English cricket legend claimed that we can’t bowl, field or bat! In that great match in Barbados, Holder made a double century and Dolwich , the keeper made a brilliant century! Please , can someone explain why this coach was dismissed and replaced with Simmons?

its good to have the ball locked in ur mind, but if the batsmen is doing his bit at the crease /dancing down the wicket, the bowler has to change his strategy on those occasions ...he forgot to mention that i guess ...he definitely changed his strategy though :)
