Love Glenn Shorrock and the Little River Band. They were the soundtrack of my youth.

at 56 years old i am "discovering" the Little River Band, i knew a few songs when i was in my teens but didn't know their history, now i have done research and bought some cd's and play them all the time in my repair shop and also watch live videos on you tube, makes my day so much better. Love it when Glen smiles a little during a song.

Thanks John! Love the interview with Glenn. Seems like a great guy, and interesting to talk and listen to. Little River Band is one of my all-time favorite bands.

Thank you John for all these interviews and stories behind the scenes. You have introduced me to new artists and even encouraged me to listen to artists I’ve never thought I would like. Great you tube channel. Please keep it going.

Thanks John. The interviews don't do nearly as well as the current event videos but I love doing them. Lots more coming. Thanks again for the support.

Great video John. I always hoped for a reunion of the real LRB members. Technically it could still happen under a tweaked name I guess although I don't see it happening. Such an important band to music! Incredible songwriting and melody.

FYI.....I know you like to report the passing away of all the artists we've grown up with. I wasn't a huge fan, but knew his music of the 13th Floor Elevator. Roky Ericson died at age 71.

The group was never the same without Glenn. Sure, they had a few decent tunes after he left, but the LRB magic was gone. Can't blame Glenn though. I'd rather have him alive and sane today than have him destroyed by the business.

Yet Farnham made that song too intense.... I prefer the more relaxed tone of Glenn

I enjoyed the original guys but they should never have gotten rid of guitarist Ric Formosa ! He was a GREAT player...

We loved Ric, but he didn't want to leave Australia and tour America. We still worked with him when ever we could, he charted a lot of our symphonic arrangements you'll see his name on later albums like Sleeper Catcher as an arranger. If interested please take a look at our new online museum: www.shorrockbirtlesgoble.com

I will check out more of his work. If he writes symphonic arrangements, he must read music and understand scoring for instruments of different keys. Thus, he probably had a good career. I enjoy the David Briggs and McArdle stuff. That rhythm section interview was very good. Derick was an excellent drummer. Discussing life on the road touring in America, it sounds very hard to be away from your family for five months, getting only one 5 minute phone call to your wife per week.

That Wheatley dude really screwed things up for them. Changing record labels, he was not estute in signing recording contracts. Have you ever heard of this band label trademark problem with any other band? I have not. Usually, fighting concerns song writing credits, such as the: A Whiter Shade of Pale debacle. Too bad. Reid, Brooker, and Fisher should have come to an agreement years ago. As it was, the lawyers got rich. The members lost millions of pounds in litigation. I am sure the Little River Band has spent too much on lawyers fees, too bad. That guitar player, Housden, is an immoral prick. If he and Nelson are so great, form your own band under a different name, such as: Nelson, Housden and Friends. If they have any friends.

According to a Graeham Goble interview, Wheatley sold the naming rights to another lawyer and didn't tell them. It seems that is about the time he left to manage John Farnham.

Little River Band has been a joke for years. Former guitarist took the name and no other original members.
