The Honest Bunchis an audio-visual podcast that focuses on discussing real millennial and Gen z issues with no holds barred.
There are 4 main personalities on the show - Nedu, Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Naomi. The cast members bring their unique individual personalities and wit to the show. Occasionally, a guest is brought on to share opinions on topics tailored to their experiences, interests, or personalities.
At Honest bunch, we are telling original Nigerian realities from the lens of the youth.
The show is stupendously funny, inconceivably revealing, somewhat shocking, and yet unequivocally informative.

LOVE first before any other thing What happens if that money isn’t there anymore? What will hold both parties together? Cos tomorrow even with all the money(status or whatever)you may look at that person with so much disgust and not find any other reason to be in the relationship or marriage,that’s why so many relationships are going south and once hate enters,GAME OVER… Love may not be everything but Love brings understanding,tolerance,patience,compassion,consideration,selflessness,forgiveness,willingness to stay You just genuinely love this person for who that person is and not what he/she can do for you. When both party genuinely love each other It would definitely last However as a man have money ooo Even if na the least

The fact is that nobody will "love" you just for who you are for a long time and in a CLOSE relationship or under the same roof if you cannot do 'anything' for them. Maybe we are getting this LOVE title all wrong

Watching from Kenya. I just want to say if we look at the history of marriage and the reasons why pple marry ,love has never been a number one motivation. Security, survival and many other social-economic factors are the main things.

You also didn't cite that That's why people keep up with rubbish and abuse and the rest because the reason they married is still secured.....and really how is that life... that's just selfish in my books, once what you want is affected the person diminishes in your eyes. Real reasons for marriage God's purpose and will on earth be established and companionship.

I enjoyed this episode alot but i was saddened even as i watched. It made me realise the opinion we have of marriage is based on what we have seen, experienced or witnessed. All the more reason we need to see more good , godly marriages out there (because indeed they are there but bad news travels faster and wider). I can watch this and feel i truly can not experience marriage in the sense of what it was designed to be my the designer. Its a no brainer to say you cant have reasons or incentives to want to marry a person, those things are important yeah but i think rather the question to ask is why one wants to get married? If you do not not knw the purpose of something as defined by the inventor, abuse of that thing is inevitable. Dont be fooled o, there are good, loving, faithful, Godly and very happy marriages out there without any polutions of the age we live in. They are there because It is possible. I dont mean to sound religious but God created marriage; Marriage shld then be run by the inventor's manual on marriage (scripture) not by Culture.

From my little experience in life about relationship, I can confidently say its a 100% gamble no matter how careful u are at it.. but there are things u must do to help u scale through when everything go south. 1. Try to find happiness outside a relationship. 2. Try to avoid damaged people, no matter how much pity u feel for them. 3.try to make more money 💷 LOVE is not the same fo4 everybody, as u grow older ur love language or understanding keeps changing.
@kanzeibanye
@kanzeibanye Жыл бұрын
Its much deeper than that! You attract what you are. Saying that be careful of damaged people… you are damaged as well. Your upbringing has a huge factor as well when jt comes to choosing a partner. This relationship thing is deep, and sorry to say this video was informative but surface level. If you as a person dont know what u want out of a relationship or ur needs its a problem in relationship. You will never be satisfied. There are so many other aspects but this is just a few.

Not really .. it’s simply well manners , excellent knowledge to be , selfless seeing another as greater than u, kind compassionate to the needs of others , respectful with boundaries understanding & being of great assistance to others in their need. Avoiding all quarrels n living in peace atall times .That’s love ! It’s not romantic .. it agape . Once u got that for the common man , family n friends trust me ur relationship or marriage wud b superb cos the foundation of wat makes a great person is already solidly set in stone. A selfish arrogant person is never capable of any good qualities of ppl interaction .. they quarrelsome as hell don’t ever see they maltreat of others cos they always in their own head all about themselves . Dint deceive urself such ppl can’t ever have others best interest st heart not even u so run

Like I calmed down to listen to this conversation Everyone has their right to do what they want but you people should stop generalizing Cheating it’s not normal to cheat. Marriage is a beautiful thing Love to is amazing. Not all men cheat and it’s abnormal to even cheat . Some marriages are really working out with 2 faithful Partners. Do what works for you. The mind is a magnet you attract what you think. As a man thinketh in his heart so he is !

Great job, guys 👌🏽👏🏽 I love the openness and the matter of factly manner with which you handled it. I wish couples could be truthful with themselves from the onset and tell each other what they want to see if they can be together or not, there won't be much heartbreak and breakups like we've seen lately. Yes, Don Jazzy probably hasn't met the one who would tick all his boxes and make him want to be faithful. Or, he has met her but was probably disappointed at how things ended between them? Anyway, I wish he'd someday feel that butterfly 🦋 someday, and the person would be deserving of him. I would like to use this momentum and say a big thanks to him for making the Nigerian music industry what it is today. I am always thrilled as a Nigerian in the diaspora whenever our music is played on radio stations, in shopping malls, nightclubs, and parties. And now, people are also sampling Nigerian delicacies and are curious about Nigeria. Keep up the good work, and continue to be blessed 🙏🏽

I believe this conversation went this way as none of these people knew the definition of the term love but have rather substituted it with a different preconceived notion! It is true that people want different things and are free to choose what they want. But at the same time we should not disguise our desire for a better life for “love” The moment you say you can never marry someone below your class, that’s the moment the deciding factor for you becomes class. It forms the foundation for whatever feeling you eventually develop and term it “love”. Marriages now are built on wrong foundations in the guise of “love”. Attraction is quite different! You can be attracted to people who are rich, or handsome or for different reasons. You may believe yourself to not be attracted to people for similar/opposite reasons. Do you want to marry someone you are not attracted to? Mostly a NO for most people. Is it possible to eventually fall in love with someone you were not initially attracted to? Possibly Yes! Why because love seeps in beyond understanding. Love may mean different things to different people but there’s a common denominator - it does not discriminate! And until we are able to define and accept what that means, this podcast has been a waste of time.
@adegoke2661
@adegoke2661 Жыл бұрын
This statement 'Marriages now are built on wrong foundations in the guise of “love”' is a matter of perspective, and different people may have different opinions on whether marriages are built on the wrong foundations. Some people may argue that many modern marriages are built on a superficial understanding of love and are not based on deeper emotional connections or shared values. Others may argue that love is still a vital foundation for marriages, but that other factors such as communication, trust, and mutual respect are also important. The truth is that each marriage is unique and the foundation of it is based on the understanding and agreement of the couple, and what works for one couple may not work for another.

" so you envy him just because of that? So e nor reach to envy?!😂😂😂🤣 The truth is, the WHY is different from person to person. Some want to get married for just companionship, so if the partner loses concentration, the love expires.

Don Jazzy, there's nothing like butterflies. In reality, marriage is a COMMITMENT. It's okay to say you are enjoying being single, but waiting for butterflies to happen is CAP. It would never happen.
@teecy5469
@teecy5469 Жыл бұрын
I calmly disagree sir, Butterflies is just another word for attraction. How do you marry without attraction? It is actually the first thing you'd experience most times. Commitment is what you engage in after the wedding and in the marriage.

@@teecy5469 Donjazzy already said that he has being with ladies whom he was attracted to, but then, there was always another finer person. so the butterflies he is talking about here is not attraction. Jazzy is referring to someone that would solely sweep him off his feet such that he would no longer be attracted to any other person for life. that is impossible cos there would always be a finer or more appealing person. so going by his logic, Jazzy may never get married and that's fine. But if he wants to be married and stay married, that's where commitment comes in (pick one person, and CHOOSE to stay committed to that person).

@@akinseyi7886 yeah, I feel you now and you're definitely correct. He has to make that decision, it doesn't come as a feeling to stop cheating. Because it is flesh instigated. He has to decide to stick with one woman.

I think he is just being honest, if millions of couple were to be sat down and interviewed, you will find out that “commitment" was an option they chose just so to be married and fulfil societal norms. 5 years or less into a lot of marriages, these same commitment tend to wear out 99% of the time thereby we find more “cohabitants" instead of “couples”. Problem is that, no one is ready for this sort of honesty for the fear of what people/hypocrites (battling the same issue) would say.
