To me it seems like the global degree is good for settling your travel worries, accommodation, basically their main use use is planning your trips. The “university” bit seems quite sketchy. Coursera courses can be done anywhere (I assume the online courses you do in global degree are of a similar type to Coursera), and do not provide the same experience as learning in a university. How is a science student going to get practical experience and do lab work online without a lab? An engineering student can’t just get an engineering degree without ever being in a workshop. Unless global degree actually takes its students to various universities to get that vital learning experience, which I doubt. To me it looks like global degree is a holiday package tour disguised as an opportunity to get a start on your career. I don’t know why that is, maybe parents will be more convinced to pay for their kids to enrol that way. I have to say though as a holiday travel package this programme seems amazing, but I don’t think anyone should expect to keep up with normal university students in terms of studies if you enrol here.
