Global History Regents Review | August 2024 Multiple-Choice Section

Watch as I go through the multiple-choice section from the August 2024 Global History Regents Exam. This video is super-long because I read and analyze every source, provide historical context, and explain why answers are correct and why incorrect answers are wrong.
It is always a good idea to brainstorm information you may know about the topic being discussed in each document before reading. This will help you activate your prior knowledge. It is also recommended that you practice using the process of elimination when answering multiple-choice questions. You can exponentially improve your chances of success if you can eliminate a couple of answer choices.
If I mention a person or topic in this video that you're not familiar with, drop a comment and I will try to clarify what you need to know.

I have a question, do we need to know anything about the Napoleonic Wars/ about Napoleon Bonaparte?

You do but not too much. Do you have any notes from class about Napoleon? I’d check out a regents review book.

I had a few notes, like his loss at the Battle of Waterloo, his failed invasion of Russia, and his downfall. Is that everything we need to know about him? I did some past regents and none of them had anything to do with him, but I just wanted to make sure.

Also sorry last question(s): What is the difference between the National Assembly, Legislative Assembly, National Convention, and the Directory? Additionally, what is the Congress of Vienna and how does it relate with Napoleon?

the essay section of the Regents asks you to analyze 5 documents, but you only need to use 4 of them to support President Wilson's claim about his 14 Points and the League of Nations. Focus on what caused him to propose these ideas (the impacts of WW1 and, later, the Great Depression). You can also include outside knowledge in a separate paragraph, like how the United Nations exists now as a modern parallel, though conflicts like the Israel-Gaza situation show peace is still a challenge, or u can even say how WW2 happened 19 years later after wilsons plan got rejected by the americans

I wish I could say for certain. Every test is different. It's really worth studying the whole course. I have made videos on every Regents since 2019- watching them all should cover all the topics that may appear.

​@ the essay wants you to analyze 5 documents and you can pick 4 of them to support wilsons claim, and what intiially caused him to make these ideas for peace (it was the impacts of WW1 and the great depression happening) and you cant post some outside knowledge at the end on a seperate paragraph like how we have the united nations now similar to the league of nations idea but we still have wars like the israel occupation of gaza strip casualties happening.

@@Blynxwt1every test is different. The topics always change. I’d recommend studying all of the 10th grade curriculum. I’d watch all of my uploads to take in a little bit of all the content from across the course.
