Today we did a car rally in Cologne for Gaza, and yesterday we had a BDS information stand in Bonn, and we are doing a 10 day vigil in Bonn as part of the BDS international week of action. The students are busy trying to get the University of Bonn to cut its ties with Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Students have just completed a 5 week camp in the city too. We're demonstrating every week in various cities here. The public opinion has notably shifted in Germany. The people are fed up and everyone can see that delivering weapons to Israel is not making anyone safer, is killing innocent people, and is not the way to peace!

There was a fantastic article on the Guardian (i think) last summer about that. I have cried my eyes out. I would take all of those innocent souls in my heart and offer them love and shelter if i could. The thought of those children alone to fend for themselves at 3-4-6 years of age haunts me and i keep them in my prayers. Whoever turns a blind eye and a blind heart to all of this has completely lost it.

What’s becoming so obvious to people now is that colonialism has never ended just rebranded with different terms. From Natives indigenous people being called “savages” in the old days to now being called “terrorist” by neocolonialists who are neoliberals, neoconservatives, and zionist. 1) Savages is now “terrorist” 2) Civilizing them is now “bringing them democracy” 3) Colonies is now “territories” We can all see Israel is a colonial project being supported by former and current colonials such as U.S, UK, and others who also control territories of indigenous natives in Caribbean Islands, Pacific Islands, Hawaii, and many more. The liberation of Palestine will definitely give RISE to many indigenous natives around the world to free themselves from western domination. This is the underlying ripple effect that the U.S government and its puppet allies don’t want to happen

Hawaii is not a colony; it’s a state within the United States. Also, most native people are now tiny minorities in countries like Australia and New Zealand and they enjoy full civil rights in those countries. Ditto for the native people of the USA. Racism is nothing compared to even fifty years ago in all these countries. You can’t compare the situation in Palestine with any other situation in the world today. Zionism is a deeply racist colonial project based on the forced removal of the native population. Even apartheid South Africa was not as bad as Zionism. Colonialism and racism are largely disappeared which is why Israel seems so terrible today. The USA dominates the world through military might and financial power, not through colonies. Israel is a throwback to the 19th century when racism and colonialism was considered morally acceptable. You are simply mistaken if you extrapolate from Israel - Palestine to any other situation in the world today. The Mauri are protesting in Mew Zealand over a reinterpretation of the Treaty of Waitangi but they a tiny minority and they already enjoy full civil rights and special privileges to boot. The white majority in New Zealand are tired of pandering to their demands for discuss status.

And for the "what-about-isms" giving the false equivalence that this is no different than colonial activity in previous centuries - the entire world knows that there were no internationally agreed upon laws regarding it before the U.N. was created in 1945. So these Laws were on the books BEFORE the (now known to have been a mistake) partition of Palestine in 1947. It is monumentally absurd for a State created by the U.N. to claim that the Laws of the U.N. have no validity.
