Offering incredible power for the their weights, the Glock 20 and 21 are impressive. Both have been around a long time but seem not to enjoy the success they should; maybe this feature length Nutnfancy 2 for 1 video can help. Consider this: with the Buffalo Bore 200 gr load, the 15+1 Glock 20 possesses over 10,000 ft lbs of stopping power. At its 44 oz totally loaded weight, no other pistol even comes close to this power and number of rounds. Video concentrates on the interesting aspects of this high powered Glocks with special emphasis on the Glock 20 and the full powered 10mm. Short history given. However these are no hand cannons and should not be mistaken for a rifle or shotgun substitute. But when SAWC is at a premium and the adversary is powerful and threatens your destruction, like a grizzly bear, it's a smart choice. Spanning multiple TNP outings, much data is revealed and shown in the video: accuracy, ergos, accessories, shooting impressions/techniques, weight balance and feel, firepower and ballistics, accuracy, and an interesting revelation on reliability. The Glock 21 ballistics, not far behind with certain +P loads, isn't far behind the G20 in power and is a proven performer. It is incredibly accurate. I would choose it readily over any 1911 for a GTW pistol option. Value is superb on both models, especially in Blue Label LE models. However on both accounts, the ammo is very expensive; a considerable downside in some POUs. Nevertheless, G20 or G21 are a wise choice when maximum power AND firepower are sought and your system can accommodate somewhat increased weight and width. High recommended and beloved in TNP.//////////////Nutnfancy LIkability Scale: 10 out of 10 for either model

Come to America. Seriously, consider immigrating (to a free state). It might take a long range plan to do it. We need more people like you to be here and to be active to stave off gun grabbers. If America and the constitution goes down, there will no other place to go and live freely. I talked to an Australian who did exactly this.

i hated hearing people trying to tear up my 9mm or 40 saying i was underpowered, which is b.s. and most of them were 45acp folks. i love all calibers but wanted to completely avoid the argument and got a glock 20. you simply cannot top the power with a small frame auto..period. 10mm is where its at if you wanna kill a human or a bear in a self defense situation.

Agreed. I currently use an XD45 with extended magazines (16+1) to compete with the capacity of standard 9mm service pistols but the extra velocity and sheer power of the 10mm definitely makes up for 1 less round.

I use Double Tap 200 gr WFN bullets in my G20 while stopping the woods in AK. Haven't had to use it in a defensive situation but I am confident in its ballistics and capacity. Some AK big game guides use it as a backup and have had to put down bears of the black and brown variety.

I like your points around 14 to 16 minutes in, and a 357 sig is great for that also. And is a great round. But it's pretty hard to find handguns with the features that i like chambered in 357 sig. 10mm is also my favorite round, it's funny how many people try to deny it potential as a carry round.

Great review, I love my 10mm Glocks. The 10mm really is one of the most versatile pistol rounds. With the proper load it is an awesome self defense round and an ideal woods gun. Word of advise to fellow viewers, if you become serious about the 10mm you need to reload your own rounds. Underwood makes incredible ammo and even if you reload you won't be able to touch their FPS numbers, however, you can reload your own practice 10mm ammo for as little as .30 cents per round.

hey nutn! big fan, I have a glock 20 gen 3, I was in the army when I purchased the gun so I was on that program, got the 20 for 480$ with 4 mags! I had to wait 5 months but well worth the wait. I wanted to let you know if you don't already, I shoot 40sw with a conversion barrel from lonewolf, that's it! no mag replacements, they fit perfect in 10mm mags, no malfunctions yet, underwood is my fav ammo to use full power 10s when im havin fun to save money ill switch barrels, one thing I love is my 5.2 inch ported barrel by lone wolf too help with the mussel flip alil I think you would love it. I experienced some FTE like you when I first started shooting it FYI it was my first gun....... yes I started with a G20 and I probably was limp risting but I have a lot of haters too, so I got a 22lb spring and whala, it runs like a dream, when I saw your vid I was like new spring would help it think the underwoods velocities contribute to the need of a stiffer spring but what do I know. Good shooting Great Vid.

Still rockin my custom G20... after 2 years. Out of all my handguns (which I have a LOT) the Glock 20, chambered with my own Montana gold reloads or Federal HST reloads is flawless, zero failures with a 22lb recoil spring and KKM Match barrel and handles almost everything perfectly. Love the gun. It's what I carry no matter where I go in the wilderness, or even to the range. It has been my #1 gun since I got it. Incredible ballistics, makes crap fly long and makes stuff shatter or explode better than any other handgun I own, including my 357 mag, my 45.. everything. Love the 10mm. The biggest hidden secret in handguns and handgun rounds. Love watching this video just to confirm how smart I was when I bought that 10mm.

Side note. It seems that in a staph comparison into energy delivered to target, the 10mm beats a 5.56 in same barrel length rifles under 16 inches. Meaning, you Need about 15 or so inches to get the power of the 5.56 beyond that of the 10mm in the same length barrel. That is why you can hunt from a 6 inch barrel glock 20 at 75 yards.

+David It's a cool cartridge, but we haven't gotten one since we're at critical mass for calibers. As a carry or defensive ctg, it's great! As a plinker or test platform, a little too much cost to be worth adding a whole new set of mags and ammo. -TD

Also on the glock 21gen 4, to convert to 460 rowland ALL THAT IS REQUIRED is a barrel change. The factory spring, magazine, everything besides the barrel you can use. If you go with the ported non-comped barrel, you're talking a couple seconds to switch between 45acp and 460 rowland. It's honestly a better option than 10mm, as it's a much more versatile platform. 460 rowland is just a 45acp +P+++, the case is a tiny amount shorter to prevent chambering in a 45acp gun, that's about it.

my guess for the cause of the failure to eject on the 20 is cuz when you were using the bench as a rest you were limp wristing it. its possible you need a firm grip on the 20 cuz of that tough spring meant to handle the 10mm. limp wrist shooting can sometimes not allow the slide to make a full stroke.

I've never fired or even seen a Glock 20. Seems like it might be a little overkill; and I imagine the ammo might be a bit pricey. I own a G4 G17 and a G4 G21SF. You can put a Mech Tech system in 10 mm on a large frame Glock frame, making it a handy carbine, and they might have a 10 mm option for a 1911 frame too, not sure. Then there were the 10 mm FBI MP5s, so it's possible there could be an H&K 94 option in 10 out there, although I haven't seen one before. At least we know magazines exist for that though.

am i the only one who still thinks the 357magnum is still a good bear gun. Bill jordan killed a grizzly bear with one in the 1930s. this is when the 357mag first came out and they were trying to prove what it would do. i dont dispute the power of the 10mm but the 357mag is right there with it. i think its much better than the 45acp as far as ft/lbs of energy goes. sure the bullet diameter is small but so what. the energy is still there. this is just my opinion though and i havnt heard any one else mention it when talking about the 10mm

desert eagle - 13000 ft lb less bullets more power. glock 19 - 9000 ft lb more bullets slightly less power. and the above numbers are standard cartridges... not some buffalo whatever. the gimmick of saying the glock 21 has 10k stopping power... is a fail. 10mm is a mid range caliber -- nothing else. its smaller than a 50 cal.... bigger than a 9mm .. it is what it is -- nothing more. its not like its magic.

I would pick 10mm in the form of a G29/G20SF vs .45 in the form of a G30SF everytime if 10mm was a safe bet in terms of availability :/ I suppose if SHTF I could still shoot .40S&W out of the 10mm (albeit risky) or just throw in a .40S&W barrel but still. I wish a major major LE agency would use 10mm, would solidify the availability for the future.

Aaron David I plan on it! But its money and in NY State its a process to get a gun everytime now with these crazy new laws. Gonna go with a G30S first and then go for a G29 or likely a G20 with a bunch of different barrels for different calibers to avoid having to go through all the BS of buying more and more guns.

nateo200 In your state with those SHITTY laws I think you are absolutely on the right track, but in most circumstances outside of THE BUSH the 45 is a great man stopper and will be available. Do you have to register in the state? I mean for every single gun you own, even those grandfathered in? I'm not trying to piss you off I just want to talk to someone "in" on the hopefully not new norm of firearm ownership. I'm in ARK and I hope that never comes my way. It's important that this kind of info is shared because I'm on your side and It makes me proud to hear this from my brothers from the Blue states. Keep shooting and CARRY ON!

nateo200 Curious as to how the G30s will handle underwood ammo, i.e. higher pressures with that barrel? Underwood 45 acp is 1200-1300 fps. Nice.

Thanks for making great videos. I have a used a beater Gen 2 G20 LE trade in. I have had it for the last 9 years. Carried it in Bear country. Cant beat the thumping it dishes out. I always have mine when camping in wilderness areas.

the only thing turning me off from a glock is the lack of the external safety. Charlotte NC police have got to S&W MPs over the glock for that very reason.

+dieing REPUBLIC honestly bud I wouldnt fuck with 10 mm, blows guns up, way too much recoil. For a bed side gun get a rifle or a shot gun, if yoh are intent on a handgun go with 9 or .45. They dont blow guns up and the ammo is cheaper.

+dieing REPUBLIC eventually yes, the life span of the gun is much much shorter than .45 or 9. .40 cal glocks have a much shorter service life than the 9mm, same goes for 10mm vs .45. For the average person you might not shoot it enough to kill it, but if you arent an avid shooter the 10mm recoils way too much, if you are an avid shooter you could see the gun die on you. The 9mm guns can go upwards of 80k rounds.

"...seemed like five minutes!" FREAKIN' HILARIOUS! Funny you put this up yesterday...I sold my Para double stack .45 weekend before last and bought a third gen 20SF this past weekend. LOVE the firepower...will be my daily carry gun. One of the amazing stats is the 10mm has more ft lbs of energy at 100 yards than the .45 has AT THE MUZZLE - AMAZING power in a carry-able pistol. Waiting on my Underwood 200gr XTP rounds (they're back-ordered). GREAT GUN, GREAT REVIEW, NUTN' !!!

Just bought one love it. My new bedside gun, replaced my Sig P220 Combat, +1 on wishing for a 10mm Sig. The most versatile Glock marries the most versatile round = G20 SF

Tip, that button above the shift button and below the tab button is the CAP lock button. Hit it to turn it off.

I can only surmise that SpecOps reasoning behind the MK23 in .45 instead of something in 10mm was the sound suppression abilities of the .45 seeing as its subsonic out of the box.

GUNMENU: Ha! I did the exact same thing! Gen 3 20 grip just didn't fit my hand. Big hands, but long palms and short fingers didn't wrap around that g20 grip. Sent the frame off to Cold Bore Customs and had the finger grooves and hump removed then cropped and stippled to take g29 mags. Excellent carry and actually better control!

Gotta say... Only now? I've been a 10mm advocate for years: NOT because it's a hand cannon, but because it's a jack-of-all-trades. Change loads from Double Tap to FBI- load and you can cover most of what you need in a handgun.

I've had similar jamming issues with my G20. This may be off or wrong, but I've found it tied to three things: 1) Dirty magazines 2) Proper/strong grip while firing 3) Resting on stationary props. The G20 is, as you have reviewed, a phenomenal weapon, but it's not for everyone. For me, I will never get rid of mine though I may get a .40 barrel conversion to ease the pain of target practice on my wallet.

I have been a huge fan of the .45 ACP since I was in the military... My off duty carry is a Glock 36. I have heard great things about the 10 mm, and sir, you have convinced me. (We carry Glock 22s at work). I'm going to purchase a Glock 20 now... (With Buffalo Bore bullets of course) Awesome video. I can't say thanks enough!

joey p Navy/Marine Expert with the .45 here (I know that makes me old). G20 or Tanfoglio Elite Match (sold in US by EAA). I have had both. The Elite Match is like a 1911 on steroids. I just love the all-steel heavy gun. Buffalo Bore is OK, except it costs a fortune. Get Underwood for more performance and half the price, or Parabellum Research V-Supreme. www.tanfoglio.it/eng/catalogo/sport-amp-competition/match.html
