Nutnfancy, I've always admired the p226 and have dreamt of owning it for years. After watching your videos, I was inspired to work my butt off and save the money to purchase the firearm I knew I wanted. The beautiful thing about the p226 is that it met and exceeded all my expectations. I knew I wanted it, but I didn't know how well I'd perform with it. It fit the hand perfect. It handled perfect. I'm in love with this pistol. I went with the 40 s&w because MY p.o.u. was home defense. I've never shot a pistol that handles the 40 better. I have big hands and I'm a bigger guy so naturally the weight and size of the pistol help with my effectiveness. Thank you for settling my mind and for helping me meet with my "second wife" haha! Every time I shoot this firearm I think of these videos and I care more for it. Take care and god bless!

I just bought a mk25-D because of this enthusiastic review. I already have a g19 for carry and a g34 for competition, and I love them, but the SIG grip feels a lot better in my hand (i'm 6' tall, so pretty big sausage finger hands), You are totally right about the ergonomics of this pistol. It's a mechanical work of art. Oh, and the Sig Night Sights are excellent. I say if you are a big guy looking for a badass 9mm, and have the money to get one, go ahead, you won't regret it.

The first Sig I placed my hands on was a Mark 25 and swore I would have one. 1 year later I have it and it is everything I could have ever dreamed for. You hear people all the time saying you can by 2 Glocks for that price, why would I pay that.....they are unfortunately clueless about how amazingly balanced Sigs are, especially the 226! They are a higher class pistol that go like the energizer bunny! I have shot right at 1000 rounds through mine since mid Feb and it has experienced ZERO hiccups, period! Just blown away and have added a P239 .40 since then. Side note, I purchased a FNX 45 tac and it may be the best shooting .45acp I have shot as of yet. I thought I would never enjoy a .45 more than my Springfield MC Operator, I was wrong! Great video btw!

My first gun was a P226 Enhanced Elite in 9mm. Love it. I've NEVER had a single issue with it. It eats everything I put through it. In the last two years I've put about 2600 rounds through it. Outfitted with Hogue finger grip, Streamlight TLR-1s, and 8 Mec-Gar mags. It's my nightstand gun. I can also put an entire magazine through .50 cent hole at 15 yards standing. Nights sights work great. Nutnfancy did a great review series on the P226 a while ago and he helped me make up my mind. Thanks Nutn

Hey Nut'n! I chime in every now and again, about six months ago I bought my first gun, Springfield XD-40 4" two-tone, freaking love it. Now after watching and learning from your reviews (others as well but mainly yours) and watching this one probably three times, I have a Sig P226 Mk-25 on hold at my local gun store and am picking it up tomorrow after renting it for a test shoot at the range today. Thanks for doing what you do! I am a recreational shooter and love well-engineered guns and the Sig P226 is quintessential - deutsche Qualität i.e. German quality. Long Live NutnFancy!!!

Just picked up the Sig M11-A1 two weeks ago. Took me over 6 months to get one. I had the MK25 reserved, but after seeing M11 that came in with out, I chose the M11. Love this pistol. I did not get MK25 since M11 could be carried concealed. Also my wife had a hard time with the grip, but then she went and got herself the HK P30. I hope to add a 226 or MK25 to my collection some day. Or even better a German stamped 226. Bought mine thanks to Nutnfancy's original review. Amazing pistol.

Loool love the vid at 25:04 Toblerone in the backpack :) Nutn knows what's good ;) Greetz from a Swiss living in CA. Going to get the P226 in favor over the G17 because of reliability reasons. I don't really care about 6 ounces (Skip the Toblerone and you're good hehe). Also, in CA we have 10 round mags max. so the extra rounds of the Glock do not help me. Plus my Swiss Military AR was a SIG550 and there's no better AR out there. Never failed me even in the dirtiest, muddiest, coldest situations

Now that I've had my 226 for about 5 months and have had a chance to compare it to several polymer framed pistols, naimly the XD series and the M&P pro series, I realize why this gun is so nice. The trigger is amazing the smoothness of the action, slide release, hammer and decocker put the Sig in a class of its own. Thanks again Nutn I am so fortunate I watched this and your other series of P226 vids. PS mine is chambered in .40 S&W and has the E2 grips.

Also it's a P226R. I love the curved rail because it fits my SERPA the MK25 and Combat "TRUE" 1913 rails won't fit into it. Ive tried running it in the bib of a TAG Marine Gladiator rig and even with a cardboard backing and super tight fit it seems to get in the way of my sling constantly.

Hey there. Another TNPer here. about a year ago i was looking to buy my first handgun for home protection. I spoke a lot to other gun owners and watched a lot of reviews. Over time, i narrowed it down between a P226 (in 9mm) and a Glock 17. After getting my permit in NYC (which is a journey all in it self) I went to my local gun shot and shot both of them. I immediately fell in love with my P226. So i looked at others Sigs and came across the Sig P220 Match Elite.

Just bought my cig CPO P226. I purchased it at roughly 60% the cost of a new one. It came with tritium night sights (which still brightly glow) and the finish was around 95-100% NRA Excellent. The barrel showed little slide wear. I changed that quickly with 100 rounds down the pipe on its first outing. It's a 2010 model with the screw in grips. It looks to be an awesome weapon and I can't wait to send more 9mm down range. Thank God l gunship is selling 100 rounds for 100 bucks even in the panic

the MK usually designates that that model is what was created for special forces testing. for example the MK23 (H&K) is currently used by Specops as their main handgun. It would be nice to see more stuff on H&K guns though. they tend to be ignored in the US since they are expensive and not all too common compared to many other brands.

if a gun shoots to either side, consistently, it could be a case of a fouled barrel end (rifling at the muzzle of the barrel, "barrel crown") that's what can happen if you clean a gun from the muzzle side, damage it, as opposed to from the chamber side it's kind of unlikely I guess, especially if you tried all types of ammo, but that's what can happen with rifles for example

You've done it again Nut'n. I sold my cruiser and wanted to reinvest some of the money, since I'm a S-T guy these days. These weren't on my radar, I was going to get a G19 or G17 but noooooooooooo, I just had to handle a P226 Extreme with the G10 grips since you talked so highly about the other P226's. Yeppers, add me to the thousands of other viewers, I bought it and a boatload of ammo. Now I want a light for it, a couple of holster options, a P226 in .22 to plink with and I need to relocate out of Ca so that I can get the correct magazines.. I think that I need to sell off some revolvers and shotguns, I just have more fun at the range with the semi autos.

At 10:12 it showed another problem of the Sig design. The slide release in the wrong place for a "high thumbs" grip. The thumb rides on the slide release and after empty magazine the slide doesn't remain open. I have a Sig and I want to like it because the build quality is absolutely excellent, but the high bore axis and the and the goofy slide release location is a deal breaker for me. CZ 75 SP-01 Shadow custom is the gun for me. Phantom if concerned about weight.

The P226 is not the only pistol the Seals use. The 226 is standard issue but they use MANY other pistols (most popular being the h&k usp .45)

Nutn is the reason why I own a SOG Flash II and a CPO Sig P226. I freakin love the sig. Certified pre owned is the way to go if you can't buy new. Mine has been flawless and had no noticeable wear out of the box.

I like the Sig 226, I LOVE the P220. BTW, every SOF operator that I know (and I know a quite a few) is able to bring their own weapon to theater AND I really only saw them carry two pistols: M9 or 1911. Nice video...
